Pregnancy snoring, were you told you were a "freight train"??

DH has been so patient, but last night he had to go and sleep in another room as I was that loud I woke him!
I don't snore when I am not pregnant, so I am desperately hoping that someone here can tell me that I will stop after baby comes?
I am scared that I will wake the little guy, as he will be sleeping in our room when he comes home.

    Anyone been through this before?

Ha- that's me atm. I snored with my first and i am snoring with this one. It drives DF mad lol. Mind you you both may snore occasionally after bubs born from exhaustion..... Oh, and i wouldn't worry about waking the baby- baby's snore really loudly! They'll be noisier than you, trust me! I was shocked at how loud my DS was lol.
    Not long now! x

LOL yeah I snore as soon as my weight hits 77kg so in this pregnancy that was pretty much by week 14

Dh has been pretty much sleeping in DD room for the last 5 months as he now does the night shift with her and prior to that because he was over weight, he was on the couch for a good 5 or more months because HE was worse than a freight train.

I wouldn't worry about waking a NB or a little one with snoring they sleep sooooo soundly x x x

    Thansk for the replies ladies.
I hope it does go away!
I am now worried about falling asleep in the hospital, OMG how embarassing that's gonna be!
It's funny how I am experiencing insomnia (waking to pee and then not being able to get back to sleep) but when I go to sleep it's sooooo deep!
Apparently DH tried to stir me last night, I didn't even know he'd left till I woke to go to the loo and he wasn't there!

    OMG yes!

It drove DH nuts... He was pretty good about it most of the time. But there was one night when I was heavily pregnant (probably about 35 weeks) and had finally just fallen asleep after a couple of hours of tossing and turning. He woke me up because I was snoring And I cracked it. He copped something along the lines of...

'you woke me up because I'm snoring, there's a perfectly good bed downstairs! I've finally fallen asleep after 2 hours, I have sciatica, I wake up every time I move in my sleep, then I wake up every two hours to pee, I have a permanently blocked nose, I have swollen feet, I have heartburn, I'm burping constantly, I can't lie on my tummy, I can't lie on my back, I can't have a glass of wine, I can't get comfortable for more than 2 minutes.... and my snoring is bothering you - gee I wish this pregnancy was as inconvenient for me as it is for you!!!!!'

Suffice to say there was never a comment about my snoring again. And he felt even worse because I was tossing and turning for another hour cos I couldn't get back to sleep after he woke me up LOL

But the good news is, I stopped snoring not long after DS was born.

Yep and it's started early this time. However my DH snores louder than I can yell so he can complain all he wants.
It's all that extra pressure on your organs. Promise it goes.

DH told me only a few nights ago I've started snoring like a truck I think it has something to do with the extra blood volume and expanded blood vessels affecting your sinusus - I often feel a bit congested through the day too where I didn't before. Lucky for DH he's completely deaf in one ear so as long as he sleeps with his good ear in the pillow, he can sleep through my snoring

Omg, yes. I actually had a bit of a catnap after I got my epidural................ and DP says I also snored really loudly then too. The MW's thought it was very funny.

Once DS was born, the snoring stopped immediately.

Sooo... all my co-pregnant friends, does anyone know anything that will help reduce the snorning in the meantime? I am waking myself up

I find propping myself up on a mound of pillows so I'm not laying flat helps a bit. Sort of a semi-recline position, though this can be tricky with pillows shifting and such waking me up instead of my Mack-truck-like snoring abilities.

I've just added and extra pillow as well. I was at the chemist today and they had these rings that go in your little finger to activate a pressure point. Anyone heard of those? And if yes are they any good...
