    prelabour/false labour/bad Braxton Hicks @33 weeks... what can I do ?

I fear I am up for 7 weeks of pain but I am hoping that people have some great stories or tips on getting through what looks like it will be a long pre labour. It was about a month with a false labour sending me to hosp. once with baby #2 four days prior to fast birth. I have had the pains since yesterday afternoon continuously now. Walking, yoga, drinking water, belly dancing ...none of this stops the contractiony action (it does help with the pain but doesn't actually stop it) so any tips gratefully received (I am all cranky with this constant pain!)

What happens if you take a panadol and lay down and rest? That was advised to me. Plenty of fluids (because dehydration can make it worse) and rest. FX it doesn't last seven weeks. Let us know how you go .

I had found previously that magnesium helped but not sure it is helping now. Will get some calcium as well. I am drinking heaps of water. Rest has no effect and panadol only helps with the pain, the tightening stays and the pain returns when the dose wears off. I had a warm shoer with water onto my back which seemed to help but they came back a few minutes in. It is sort of ahrd to get around even with the pain controlled as the abdomen is so stiff!

Have you called your MW or spoken to the hospital? Second pregnancies can be quite different from first pregnancies and BH stronger than anticipated. Either way, the hossie might give you some advice or instructions.
