Hey thats lovely Fiona!!!
Did you write it yourself??
Enjoy these last few weeks as a mother to be.
Relax by the TV sipping cups of camomile tea.
Take a deep bath and watch your precious bump
kick and roll,
as sleepless nights will soon take their toll.
As the big day draws near cuddle up with a good book and read.
As all the rest you can get will soon become a big need.
When nesting sets in, cook dinners to freeze
because believe me you won't get time
when two becomes three.
Pack your bag now and have it by the door ready to go.
For when that baby is ready to come you can just grab it and go!
Apologise now for things you might say.
As pain can take over on the big day.
Remember to breathe and get a back rub.
When the pain gets too bad, ask for the spa
it works wonders, to relax in the tub
When the hard work is done and your special bump is gone
In your arms will be an angel A new daughter or son.
Enjoy these last few weeks as a mother to be.
Relax by the TV sipping cups
of camomile tea.

Yeah, I worte that about 2 years ago for a friend who was about to go on materity leave with her first. At the time I didn't really know her that well but wanted to give her something to let her know that I was thinking about her and that she could talk to me if she needed. It must have done the trick as we are pretty go friends now. Its the first poem I have written and I was so proud of it. I have given a copy to almost all the pregnant friends I have ahad since.
That was a beautiful poem Fiona. Well done.
Love :hbeat:

Its a nice poem anyway, its nice to dream.
I love the poemThanks
That's beautiful FJ and so very true. I was thinking about that alot today when I've been feeling annoyed about being on couch rest, that pretty soon there won't be much rest at all, even at nighttime and I should just try and enjoy this when I can.
