    What do you think?

    Ok, long story short, DH and I are going to the Royal Show tomorrow - I planned on going because it'll be the last 'me' thing I think I'll get to do before bub is here.. But DH is trying to get everyone (his mum and dad included) to make me feel guilty about going!

    I've already made plans with him and a strict itinery (20minutes to half an hour of walking, which I know I can handle as I've done it HEAPS + then 10-15minutes of sitting down) as I've scoured the show guide with things that are on in places we can sit down and watch this stuff, but DH is STILL trying to guilt me into not going.
    We're doing alot more stuff after this (not to this extent though) and I'll be 36wk6d tomorrow, after that being further along but still doing things.

    * Tomorrow, Royal Show
    * Monday, having friends and their kids over and entertaining them
    * Tuesday, Drs appt and having our fencing put in so having to get in the garden a bit
    * Wednesday there's something on I just can't remember
    * Thursday, we've got to clean out the parts of the house that have concrete on them because we're getting out flooring put in
    * Friday, the flooring gets put in, and then we'll have to move all the stuff back in place.

    Edit : So what do you think? We've also got a friend who's coming with us and he's said he's happy to carry the showbags I get, and that he isn't fussed bout having to stop so often.. That, and we've got a trolley we are taking anyway to put our showbags and such in

    hun, only you know your limits and from your post it seems to me like you arent about to do anything silly. I hope he sees this too and comes round so you can both enjoy the show tomorrow.

    Thanks heaps MrsB - Yeah, I feel like I know my limits, and when I push them too much, I will just sit down and rest. He knows that, but doesn't understand it - and thinks I'll be hurting bub at the same time

    Out of my mind. Back in five minutes...

    Go, have fun, and if it gets too much, come home... Maybe set a time limit with DH, like we can got for three hours or something so you get a good compromise, he is happy you are resting, and you are happy to go... DH's do worry a lot, and that is OK, but you need to reassure him along the way that you are ok.

    Another thing to add to your list is to keep well hydrated and take your own food and snacks so you are not at the mercy of show food.

    Thanks Ruf

    Yeah, I've already said to him that I'm happy to stay for just 3 hours - 30 minutes of walking with 15min rest stops - which would still give us plenty of time to see things and do things. Also doesn't help that DH hates huge crowds
    And thanks for the reminder bout taking my own drinks! I keep forgetting how expensive that stuff is, so it's a big bottle of water and plenty of little nibblies!

    If you feel up to it go for it. No way known I'd have done it though. That's because seating at the Melb show is not easy to come by due to the crowds & I could not possibly have hoisted myself up from the ground on my swollen ankles. If your show has loads of seating & your ankles are good then I say go for it.

    Go for it. I always still continued like normal right up til the end.
    With DS I had to travel 2 hours to see my ob every fortnight, alone with the 2 kids, broke down a few times on these journeys, so stress to the max as well!
    Enjoy your last few weeks
