Tightenings only lower of belly only, often....

    How often is too often?
Are the Braxton hicks if it's only the lower half?
Should I pay attention to the length and duration?

If it's regular, pay attention!!! my contrax only felt like tight undies!!!! Right around the really LOWER part of my pelvis! If they make you lose your breath or you can't talk through them, then *definately* pay attention!!!!

    Good luck!!

Braxton Hicks tend to go if you lie down and rest, and should be irregular. They can be over your whole belly or just down low. Having said that if you are getting unusual pains then it could be worth a phone call to your midwife who will be able to talk you through them and help you decide if you should be concerned or not.

Lol I am laying down (nana in bed early) perhaps I should get up. They aren't painful just noticeable and slightly distracting.

try to distract yourself with something else and if they keep annoying you then perhaps start timing them. If they appear to be regular then it would be worth getting checked out as your baby is still premature and they may want to help stop you labouring.

I've been getting the same type of pains in the same area today as well Danielle. Was starting to wonder if it's something I should worry about. Perhaps I'll keep a closer watch on the timing, have your pains eased off?

My BH's come and go and can happen when I'm walking around or resting.... usually once I rest though they go and they don't seem to last long..... in saying that though, mine happen in the middle of my tummy not really down low.

Have they eased off now? Just keep an eye on it and if it's something that is becoming regular over the next 30mins..... then yeah, could be something?

Not getting any regular. Anywhere from 3 mins to 15 mins apart lasting for about 10 seconds. Not getting any stronger.

On a side note breasts are rather tender too.

Danielle, like the others have said if they become more regular or more painful then start taking note of exactly how long they are lasting.

    Take care.

Getting tired so gave the midwives a call to ask if it was ok to go to try and go to sleep or if I should stay up and take note (last one was more painful) she said to take two panadol and try and sleep. If I can't sleep give them another call and they will decide what to do next.

Not worried now that I'm allowed to sleep, was worried that it was best to stay awake. Sure they'll disappear before too long.

    Thanks ladies

Woke every hour during the night :-( so sore this morning front & back. Back is constant pain and tummy is still coming and going. Thankfully my young man goes to daycare today. Going to see how it goes once my young man man has been picked up and call in again I guess.
