    Unhappy Regular Braxtons

Alright girls... i swear my body is having fun playing games and teasing.
I have been having regular braxtons for about 17 hours now - 15 minutes apart (almost on the dot!). Not overly painful and not increasingly stronger...

    Anyone else been getting these?

PrincessMya it could be a bit of pre labour.

Generally if the contractions aren't painful and are short in duration then it's not labour. Maybe you could time the length of them as well as the time between. I had a bit of stopping and starting with nothing for a couple of days in between which was super stressful.

This happened with my 2nd and 3rd PG's. Very frustrating it is but I think in a way it's getting you ready. Once my labours got going properly that were very quick.

try and stay relaxed as much as you can. Easy for me to say now, I know I wasn't

Well the regularity has stopped! lol

Just teasing me! this is the 2nd time (happened last sat too) where it goes for about 24hrs then just stops. HOw frustrating.

Have just had a couple of irregular ones this afternoon that last about 1-2 minutes and are very very uncomfortable - like really bad wind pain... stops me in my steps. BUt not regular at all! lol....

Why dont our bodies come with instruction manuals?

I have also been getting some irregular strong BH like what you explained lasting 1-2 minutes. Didnt get them with DD so a new experience for me also. Everytime I get them I get so excited hoping labour isnt too far away... LOL. Look forward to seeing your birth announcement... best wishes, Sarah

I had this with my first pregnancy and I used to be on the floor in tears due to the pain

I have read that it is a good thing as it is toning up your uterus or something.. Something about making labour work better

    Good Luck

Hi MummyMummy! It looks like we are due on the same day
Well fingers crossed it happens soon and we arent overdue!

Well like i said the regularity has stopped lol. BUt the ones i had overnight were so uncomfy that that kept waking me up - i think i stretched a muscle in my belly when i rolled over in bed(just cant get comfy) and that sucked cause when i have to get up to the bathroom over night i look terrible trying not to use my stomach muscles.

Anyhow i had this one bad BH - and (sorry if TMI) i had to go to the bathroom at 1am... and i had to pee and poo (and i cannot remember the last time i ever had to poo in the middle of the night ...honest NEVER!!) and it was so painful trying to do so cause i kept having shooting pains trhough my belly and down my right leg. That was yuk.

Dont know i think Jnr is playing warm ups.... i wonder still if he will come early or this is just the practice round for already 2 weeks and for another 2 weeks until EDD....

I had something similar last night keeping DH awake with frequent visits to the bathroom and painful BH.

I'll also keep my fingers crossed too (that we dont go overdue)... just thinking that I may not have my baby for another month would be too much!!

How exciting!! I had lots of BH during my pregnancy from very early on. They apparently prepare the uterus for contractions so that you have *even* contractions. And during labour my contractions were very strong. So the more the better. (mine weren't painful though)

    Good luck.
