OK. Earlier in my pregnancy the sinus started to act up (about 12 weeks and has never stopped). Now its sooooo bad that this morning I got up and could hardly see. My eyes are puffed up and blurry and Im not sure if its from lack of sleep because of the sinus or from the sinus its self. I have such a massive headache too. Does anyone no of anything other than panadole that I can take for sinus cos I really feel like im gonna die.
*hugs* That sounds awful hon...
I would really suggest asking your GP or OB what else would be safe for you to take, as I am unsure.
Also, the symptoms of blurry vision and headache can also be associated with other conditions in late pg - such a pre-eclampsia, so I would definitely be mentioning it to your Dr...
I hope you can find some relief and are feeling better soon...
Hey lil sprock
Oh I am with ya 100% babe!!!!
I have a bladder infection... and an ear infection I am on Amoxilin antobiotics for both.
My doc told me if I am getting in pain alot that you can take Panadine.... Just check with your doc first of course... but it just helps take the most part of the pain away!
So heres to feeling sorry for ourselvs!! hehehehe... :P
Yeh I was told Panadine was ok too by the chemist but only for a short time. I had a wisdom tooth out about 4 weeks ago now and ever since then the sinus has just gotten worse and worse. I looked it up on the internet and apparently your wisdom teeth are connected in some way to the sinuses. It never gave me any problem though and was a sinch to pull out as well. Must have triggered something though cos this is insane.
Yeh I have been checked out for pre-eclampsia as well and Im all good there. The highest blood pressure I have recorded during this pregnancy is 100/60. Pretty low for someone that had it last time. The headache is definitely around the eyes and sinus area.
OOOWWW!!!
I had all 4 wisdoms out at once a while ago and without the blessed Nuerfon PLUS I dont think i would have gotten through the 5 days after that without scratching my face off!!! Sorry a bit dramatic.... but it would be the swelling that is giving you such a hard time.....
Try a hot or cold pack.... i am terribly sorry but which one reduces swellling????
That will take the swelling out a little bit.... maybe just enough for some releif and to get that pressure off your sinus....
Oh sweetheart!! I soooo know how you feel and I really hope you feel much better soon!

Hi Little Sprocket,
In my first trimester i started getting terrible hayfever!!! So much to the point i had to see my Doc about it, i was reacting to everything. She perscribed Beconaise? i only took it for about a week and it got better, after that i probably only had to use it once or twice.
