I know that this might sound stupid, but is it possible for sex to break your amniotic sac??? And if you hadn't already lost your plug would this be able to be seen in the fluid???
After we DTD I leaked what seemed to be an awful lot of fluid! It left a wet patch on the sheets. Obviously some of it was from DH but is it possible that it could have been my waters too???
I think unless your waters are ready to break anyway or they are very thin (the membranes surrounding the fluid) then sex wont cause them to break. Maybe speed it up if your already dilated abit and they were not far from breaking anyway and sometimes the membranes are buldging through the cervix in which case sex could rupture them. If its has caused them to rupture I am sure its a coincidence or ?bad/good timing and that they were going to shortly anyway.
There would be no way for a midwife or dr to be able to tell your have DTD without asking (or checking with a microscope which we don't do) often vaginal fluid, membranes and the stringy bits you often see in the amniotic fluid are the same texture and colour as semen even when women have not DTD so there would be no questions asked.
No, I don't think so. it would have been mucous that was coming away after you had DTD. Your mebranes are surprisingly tough - I know how much work it can be to get them to break when you have them ruptured so I couldn't imagine a penis doing it, but then I could be proven wrong too kwim? It is possible that you could have some of your plug come away, and you might notice a bit of blood, or some very gunky mucous.
