Everytime I roll over I can feel and can hear my tailbone or pelvis 'CLICK'. Sometimes it pinches causing alot of pain. While I have had the pinching feeling during all 4 of my previous pregnancies, I haven't ever experiened the 'clicking' before. Has anyone else experienced this ...? Is it something I could be concerned about?
Hi Dee,
I haven't had pregnancy-related tailbone problems, but my hip clicked all the time towards the end of my pregnancy, and it hurt too. I just assumed it was normal at the time, but now it still isn't quite right. I keep forgetting to ask my doc about it... Perhaps if its bugging you it'd be a good idea to mention it to your HP at your next visit? Can't hurt to ask anyway.
All the best for the rest of your pregnancy - not long to go now!
Nessa O_M_G surely that was caused by a previous injury!
Even though it can be painful at the time does the clicking create relief afterwards?
Maybe you could try rolling over with your knees together and while you move squeeze your pelvic floor to brace your muscles and support you pelvis.
If you can see a physio you can learn some good pain management techniques and excercises.
I clunk and click rolling over every time, it's my pelvis that's the problem (too much relaxin, so the joints of the pelvis are now mobile - ouch). I try not to twist when I roll, and roll everything all in one go - that sometimes works. It's painful enough that I wake up trying to roll over, and usually swear once a night when it really clunks badly.
