I'm 33 weeks pregnant and for the last 3 days I've been getting pain in my pubic bone and to the left of it in the ligaments. Baby is head down and I think its her head squishing up against pubic bone. Its really painful!
How do I get her to shift?? The only comfortable positions are in the bath, on the couch or laying down in bed which would be glorious if I didn't have a messy house to clean!
Help!

Congrats on your pg, not long to go now! Something that might help is a simple technique whereby you..
1) kneel on the floor (hmm, that might not be the simple part!)
2) then lean slightly forward to rest your elbows on the floor. Be sure to put a cushion under your knees and to keep them apart to give yourself a wide enough base of support.
3) It tends to be a little more comfy if you rest your head down on your arms (does that make sense?)
The idea is that, with your bum being higher than your head, gravity works to allow bub to move and take pressure off your pelvis. Only do it for a few minutes at a time or stop when you start to feel even the tiniest bit dizzy, whichever comes first! It's very effective and is really useful for giving posterior babies room to spin around. It can also be great to use during labour if you feel things are progressing too quickly.
HTH! xo

: Typo!
I have been meaning to reply to your post SJH and say THANKS!! The head down, bum up position you suggested worked! I did it in 10 min periods 3 or 4 times a night for 2 days and I seemed to come good.
Just wanted to add something that had I seen this earlier I would have! I had very similar sounding severe pain on my pelvis during labour- every contraction I could feel DD's head banging against the bone- very unpleasant. It turned out that she was posterior- would have loved to have been advised about this position in labour- might have helped avoid C-section.
