    Should I be worried?

Last night "Little Miss Dragonfly" dropped down approx 5cm (as in she has gone from having her knees up against my bottom ribs to having them mostly level with my belly button).

At the same time the lower backache I had been experiencing all day got extremely painful and started to radiate up my back and around my hips, and I suddenly couldn't eat (we were having dinner at the time) without feeling nauseous.

According to hubby and our neighbour (we were over at our neighbours place for a bbq) the moment I became nauseous I went dead white, and not long afterwards I developed a bad heachache and felt really light headed and dizzy.

I had a bath which helped a bit with the backache until I had to get out, and took a couple of panadol which helped take the edge off it a bit.

All last night I had trouble sleeping, my hips, back and pelvis ache, "Little Miss" is still sitting very low and *TMI* when I examined myself down there earlier I could *feel* her head through the wall of my v-jay-jay.

I'm still all achy today, though not as bad as last night, and I'm just wondering if I should be worried or not?

Is she moving around still? Maybe you should see your ob or mw.

If you are going through a Private OB, ring the rooms or if you are going through MW care at the Hospital I'd be ringing the hospital you are booked into and let them know what you are experiencing, word for word what you have just typed.
They may want you to come in to check how things are going. I would think you would be on 2wk appt's by now, so worth checking just to put your mind at ease.

Babyluv - She still moves quite a lot, but I have noticed over the past few days that her movements haven't been as strong as normal, eg. not as many really huge THUMPS like I've become used to getting. My OB and the middies that I see won't be in until wednesday, so I'd have to call maternity and talk to them, which would make it the 3rd phone call relating to regular cramping in 7 weeks now.

Heather72 - I'm not on the 2wk ones yet this time, which is a bit odd as I was with DS and as this pregnancy is high risk I would have thought they'd be more worried. Next OB appointment is on the 19th, and the next mw one is 3 weeks after that, so currently 3-weekly until 36wks and then it becomes weekly.

The cramping is dying off now, so it might have just been BH or caused by "Little Miss" still being Posterior. I think I'll take it easy for the rest of today and reassess it all tonight as it could also be my irritable uterus playing up too.
I should be used to all of this by now after all the emergency trips I had with DS because of the irritable uterus and BHs that pretended to be the real thing, but it still scared the crud out of me every time it happens.

hope everything settles down. I would be checking with the m/w just for peace of mind I think. Dont worry about calling them a lot, they are there to take care of you.

I am with the others on this, it MAY not be anything to be worried about but I like to be on the side of caution. There is no harm in getting checked out and would strongly recommend it.

    Good luck hun x x x

Thanks everyone. Was about the get Hubby to take me up to maternity just over an hour ago and the achiness and crampiness stopped. "Little Miss" has been much more active tonight as well, though still quite low down (hands and elbows right behind the pelvic bone) so we are just taking the "wait-and-see" approach at the moment and will stop by maternity tomorrow since I have to go to the hospital and book my 36wk ultrasound anyway.

    Thanks again.

It doesn't matter if the cramping has stopped I am SO glad you'll go tomorrow.

FWIW for Dearly Departed Daughter (DDD) I had contractions on and off for a week, had a show and went to hospital only to discover I was 2cm dilated and eventually had her 3 weeks later.

I hope evrything is ok for you.

Noticed your in Morwell ... are you going to West Gippy or Traralgon?

NaeNae - Thanks darl. It's so hard to try and figure out what is "wrong" cramps and what is just BHs because of the irritable uterus. With DS I was getting tiny regular contractions that were only just strong enough the be picked up on the CTG machine from this time onwards and they never amounted to anything, and because I don't know what it's like to go into labour naturally I get worried over what has always turned out to be nothing in the past. It's driving me nuts.

And I'm going to Traralgon, apparently West Gippy doesn't cover us because we are outside their shire and won't allow us to book in there, which is a shame because I had heard that they were really good.

We're not in their Shire so whoever told you that has it wrong ... At least Dr Simon is at Traralgon *sigh* I loved him.

I'm seeing Dr Danso, have heard of Dr Simon but never got the chance to hear more lol

Anyway, got checked (my BP, bub's HB) all was good, no BHs while I was there so they didn't bother with the CTG. I just have to take it easy again and rest as much as possible and keep an eye on things and if it gets worse go back in.

The backache has flared up a little bit since this morning, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was.

I just have to try and not stress too much about family and friends in QLD, and try not to worry too much about a friend who is 33wks and in labour - we've had a lot of the same symptoms over the past week or so, but she's had the added complication of her hindwaters breaking last week.

    Thanks again.
