Is this a normal part of late pregnancy? I can't seem to keep my eyes open - I'm so tired all day! But then on the flip side, I'm starving all the time and can't stop eating! At least it's fruit and yoghurt and healthy stuff, but why would I be so hungry when I'm using barely any energy? It takes a massive effort just to get the motivation to walk the poor dog around the block and do a bit of house work.
Was anyone else like this at the end? Is it just about conserving energy for labour? At the rate I'm going I'll double my entire weight gain in the last couple of weeks!
I was tired in the last tri. I remember getting home from work, having a nap then getting up for dinner then back to bed! The eating probably coincides with your babys growth - they just grow & grow in the last tri.
Lol Taryn, I've been too busy sleeping to update Facebook! Have been getting loads of Braxton Hicks at night, which I think might be half the problem - I can't sleep at night so then I'm tired during the day.
Thanks Rhi, I guess now would be a pretty big growth time for bubs. I was just wondering why it happened now - this is my third week off work and the first two I was up and about early doing things, now it takes all my energy to crawl back into bed lol. But then I'm still hungry all the time! Ah well, I'll just assume it's all good for bubs
Haha you sound a bit like me. I did the same thing Kaytee, the first few weeks off work I was up early & cleaned & tidied & organised most of the day. Now Im sleeping in & have had to cut back on the amount Im doing, sooo lethargic. Maybe you over did things a little in those first few weeks? And yeah Im sure the BH aren't helping.
I was the same, Got a bit more tired towards the end but the few days before I had both my girls I got a great energy spurt and just wanted to keep moving. I did a lot of walking in the end. I was the opposite though. I lost my appetite.
Good lock. Nearly time to meet your little girl. How exciting.
I'm glad I'm not the only one I thought I'd try and get past it today - you know the whole sleep breeds sleep thing? So got up after DH went to work, did the dishes and stuff, but nope - still wound up back in bed! Lol Wasn't as bad as the last few days though, so it might just be a matter of getting motivated in the morning and staying that way.
I'll be on the lookout for that energy spurt Kazzo, I could do with one!
