    Oh oh! Cankles!!

It's started! The swelling of my limbs! Not too bad yet but I fear it will get worse. On Thurs I must have worn tight socks cause my ankles were SO swollen - it looked quite funny really but a bit depressing too!

My arms and legs have started to ache too during the night and this morning my finegrs were definately bigger! I guess that's karma for me cause I was just saying how pleased I was that I hadn't put on too much weight (well not as much as I thought I woudld!)

    Anyone else have this issue??

Not yet, but I still have a few weeks to go. With DD I started swelling in the last couple of weeks, but then again it was (unusually) hot at the time, and that may have helped it too.
I have no doubt that I will. I keep checking my wedding ring each day to make sure that I can still get it off. That's my indicator.

I developed cankles about 3 weeks ago As a result I try to make sure I don't wear any socks that are tight, and definitely take off the socks when I go to bed, otherwise when I wake up, I have massive indentations at my ankles...like a sausage!

Fortunately my hands haven't swollen up yet, so wedding & engagement rings still fit fine

I've only had the cankles a couple of times, when I've been on my feet too long (after not getting a seat on a 45 min train ride, my poor limbs resembled puffer fish with toes.)

Hands- oh, I could go on for ages about hands except it's literally too painful to type for long! I have Pregnancy Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, which only developed from about week 34, and which causes painful swollen hands. I can't close my fists properly anymore, am now quite used to waking up with no feeling in my fingers, and took my wedding ring off last week (with quite a lot of tugging.) I hope you don't have this. My OB says as long as the blood pressure remains stellar (which it has) then there's nothing to do except wait for the baby to arrive.
    Sigh.
I wish the baby would turn up.

I had cankles in the last month or so of pregnancy but when I had an epidural during labour I swelled up so much in my legs face and hands, in fact when I weighed myself after giving birth I hadn't lost any weight due to the excess water I gained!! Be warned!!

After two weeks I finally saw my ankle bones again!!
