I get this too. I've been sitting on a small pillow which helps a little. Also make sure you get up and walk around every so often (or waddle as in my case!).
Is anyone else suffering from a sore butt when they're seated for too long?! While I'm working (so sitting at a desk for hours at a time), my butt aches like I've been riding a bike for hours!! Does anyone else feel this way?
I'm guessing it's just more relaxin hormones doing their thing but seriously, enough already!! My groin, pelvis and hips are giving me enough grief so can't I just sit for a while without my butt joining the aches and pains party?!
Vent over but feel free to join me

Yep me too
can't win... walk around too long & my back aches...sit too long & my butt aches... lie down too long & my hips ache...
I have the same problem. I find that if I get up often, I tend to feel a lot better. Ergonomists say that the best position you can be in is different to the one you were in 15 minutes ago. Oh the joys of pregnancy. Hope you find some relief.
Yes, yes, yes!!! thats me too! I keep complaining to DH about how sore my butt is!
I find it is just my right butt cheekbub is down that side so I figure there is more weight on my right side...aaarrggh not long now not long now
this is so funny! We all have sore butts! If someone had told me that would be a common complaint in pregnancy (well, the third tri anyway), I would have laughed in their face! It sounds so ridiculous, hey, but geez it hurts!
This morning (after a VERY restless night due to a very sore groin - what next?!), I seriously thought I'd some how competed in the last leg of the Tour de France. It sure feels like it!
My tailbone used to ache if I sat down for to long![]()
Yes! My tailbone is where it really hurts after sitting down... or if it's in the car, my back joins the pain party.![]()
Try sitting on a comfy pillow?
Oh sweetheart, i don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but that sounds like you might have SPD or pelvic laxity - when the relaxin does its job TOO well & the pelvic/hip/lowerback joints get stretched too far, and then all your muscles have to go into overdrive to hold it all together. The clincher is telling us you had a sore groin - classic symptom.
Good idea to be assessed NOW by a physio (find one who specialises in women's care or via the hospital where you will have your bub), who will give you some dos and don'ts and probably fit you with a support belt/tubithingy to wear. Don't wait a few weeks until it gets worse - act now cos you can prevent the pain from getting worse than it has to.![]()
I was starting to wonder if that's what it is now. I've been seeing a physio for my lower back issues for some weeks now and they have explained that all my other bits are aching trying to fill in for the job my back should be doing. I have a sacro-lumbar support belt which I wear when I'm doing housework (as housework is a nightmare!) but I think I might need to wear it more often now - boohoo!
Thanks for the tips but it looks like I'm alreayd doing all I can. I think the only other solution is to give birth! 7 and a bit weeks...and counting! LOL!
Kinda... though mine has been more my right hand side of my stomach, right under my ribs - and has been like that for probably 10wks now
Hope you find relief hun![]()
