    Sore Stomach Muscles...

I don't remember my tummy actually being sore with DD but this time it is. If I have been walking around during the day, just something normal like going out to the shops etc it gets really sore!! Mostly on either side of my belly button and a bit above that in the middle. It feels like it's the muscles that are sore.

Is it just because they're all stretched?? But I didn't feel this with DD?? Anyone else have the same thing?

I got that a lot just before DD came along. It's really sore hey? I think it's similar to round ligament pain? I got that terribly throughout my pregnancy.
Rest helped but I realise that sometimes isn't always possible when you have a toddler to be chasing!

I got that with DS too Heaven. It was worst after I had done the grocery shopping - all that walking and lifting I think! Just the muscles getting tired I think, nothing to worry about.

I have had it with my 2nd, 3rd and 4th pregnancies ... but not with my first. I always thought it was probably because I didn't have toddlers to lift while I was pregnant the first time. I am finding now that it is easier for me to sit down on the ground next to my kids rather than try and pick them up. I still have to pick up DD2 sometimes, but I mostly try to only do it when I am sitting down now and not carry her around for long periods of time. It does help (with the tummy pain and the SPD).

Oh, i have just seen this now when looking for an old thread of mine. I had forgotton my stomach muscles were sore during pregnancy.
After DD2 was born I had 8cm muscle separation.
So thought I'd update in case anyone else reads this and say that if you have the same thing make sure you tell your midwife/Dr/OB because you can actually get something to wear during pregnancy to help it and stop it getting worse

My tummy hurt heaps when i was pregnant with DD, and i had abdom seperation too. I had a 6 finger gap by the time she was born. Got the tummy soreness again, and already wear my tubigrip most days hoping to keep things together f0r as long as i can.

I have been getting it at night with mine. My whole belly is aching sometimes. It's very strange.
