I was doing a right hand turn and a car over took me on my inside (right side) and I crashed into him, I can't believe he was over taking me on the wrong side of the road When I was turning.
I was checked out at the hospital and baby is fine, but I'm really sore, sore back, neck, head. My Bp was very high last night, but is good today.
I'm a carful driver, but it just goes to show how easy it is to be in an accident, needless to say the car needs some fixing, but it's not a right off.
I've been told to rest up for a couple of days and I should start feeling a lot better.
I'm 33 weeks today, 5 weeks until I have this baby, I'm just hoping the is the last major thing I have to deal with!
Take care all.....
you poor thing, rest up and try not to think about it too much - you dont need the stress! hope you dont have to deal with any more hiccups between now and when you meet your little one!
Thanks girls, I'm starting to feel a little bit better emotionally about the whole thing, but I'm still sore all over. Tomorrow my children will be at differnt places, so I'll have the whole day off, so I plan to relax and catch up on some well earned sleep. I'm going to be a home body and give driving a miss for a while. So some resting will be in order, I'm finally going to let other people take over the reigns for a little while.
Thanks again, I'm off to put my feet up, take care all......
You poor love Rose - it's awful not to be able to take painkillers, huh? You put your feetup as much as you can, take nice warm baths (poor you not even being able to have super-hot ones!) and just pamper yourself for as long as it takes. I hope his insurance pays out a lot for your damages.
Oh dear! What a fool the other driver was! We (DH & I) had a similar situation, but luckily DH saw him coming and slammed on the brakes *just* in time. We reported him to the police, who rang him up straight away.
I'm glad you're all right, and the baby is too, but it's NOT what you need right now! Especially not with three other children to look after. I hope you enjoy the rest tomorrow.
Kirsten
Enjoy your rest, take it really easy and be good to yourself. Hey, not long to go now before we all get to meet your lovely new lady
How's everything else going? I often wonder but never seem to have time to root around for old threads for a catch-up - i just saw your ticker this morning at 5 weeks to go and was thinking "WOW, already!?"
I've been resting up as much as I can, it's nice to have peace and quite now and then. We're trying to work things out with the other driver, we'll be getting a quote today on the car, and the other driver was adiment I was in the wrong, but the proof was in the pudding as they say and the police agree that he was without a doubt in the wrong, these things take time to sort out, but it'll be sorted out soon enough.
As for me I had an echocardiogram done today because the Dr picked up that I had a murmur, but the lady doing the test thought it was all fine, I'll get the results from that next week.
I also had test done to see if I have kidney problems and if I had the start of preeclmpsia, because my Bp was too high, I'm still waiting for them, but I feel ok, so I think the Dr's are just been on the cautious side.
The other thing is the GD, I'm finding the the insulin is helping now, my readings arn't perfect, but they're alot better then three weeks ago, I'm actually getting used to all that now and since been on the GD diet all my cravings have gone.
All up I've put on 8kg's in this pregnancy, I lost 2kg when I started the GD diet, I can't see me putting on that much more in 5 weeks but who knows.
Next friday I have another ultra sound for them to check on the size of this baby, it'll be nice to see how she is going.
We'll I better not start prattling, despite all that I've dealt with at one time, I'm not doing too badly, I'm very tired, BUT ARN'T WE ALL!
Big Tummy Rubs All
Oh it's good to hear you're feeling better and the insulin is working!
LOL at the other driver trying to blame you! You drove into him sideways/backwards did you? Idiot... It's good the police are with you too, makes it all easier.
And the new diet is suiting you! That's great news too! You've put on SO little weight with this PG! I was the same - 6kg total with DD. Do you BF? Does that make you lose? I know i lost a ton BFing DD but my thyroid was out of what too so that was probably part of it. Oh Rose i can't WAIT to see pics of your new little one.
Things sound (car-crash aside) like they're pretty ok just now. How is DH doing?
Anyway, enough wittering from me. Hopefully you're sleeping tight.
Hi Claire, yep it was scary for a moment, until I stopped and realised we were all in one piece, but I was shaky for a while after it though..
Hi Bec, Things arn't too bad I guess and yep I've breast fed all my kids, it didn't help me to lose weight though, I think it has more to do with what I ate I keep saying this time I'll be good, so maybe.
I've got an underactive thyroid, I'm on tablets for that, when it's under control then it's ok, but if it goes under that puts weight on too. But it's been good through the pregnancy.
I feel ok otherwise, just huge!
I better get on with tea, take care
Aye, it's that end of the PG isn't it, when the "side-of-a-house" feeling takes over
I have an underactive thyroid too! Am on levothyroxine for it. Luckily i didn't gain much but boy was i tired when it was out of control! Had terrible joint pains - couldn't open my blinds in the moring cause i couldn't close my fist! And i lost my milk Still DD is doing great and next time i'm DETERMINED to BF for the 1st year (only made it to 7months with DD)
