subsequent pregnancies ... did your pelvis feel different?
I can distinctly remember with Pip that wonderful feeling of a bowling ball shoved between my legs as his head engaged.
This time, I can feel more cervical headbutting and it feels more like my entire pelvis is being twisted / opened - specially in my hips. So instead of just one point of uncomfortableness, it's 2 weird feelings
I do have a spot of pelvic girdle instability happening, but am wondering if this is just "normal" or due to the instability?
I have SPD this time round (never had it with DD1), so yes my pelvis feels different this time, a lot more unstable, especially when im lying down, ouch - i feel way more kicks on my cervix and it actually feels like this bub is going to fall out sometimes!
So not sure if its because i have the spd or just a different pregnancy, but this one feels very different to my DD1's pregnancy and i have way more pelvic/hip/groin pains
Well, I'm not 100% sure I have SPD, but I sure have alot more 'issues' in the pelvic region than I have ever had. It grinds, cracks, pulls and aches like it never did before. I did have a bit of pain with my other two pg, but this one takes the cake. It's enough to make me not ever want to be pg again (not that that is really an option if you ask DH, lol!) I think mine is a mixture of mild SPD and pretty bad sciatica though (as my gp has guessed anyway!). I feel alot more pressure in the front of my lower belly/between my hip bones too. I think it's just that my belly muscles are quite weak and are struggling a bit with holding the weight of my Heffalump!
