Hi there, sorry ladies if this is tmi. But i have had the regular runny clearer discharge since about week 22. But just now, I just felt a bit of a leak down there, and went to the bathroom, and its a very smooth, thick, white discahrge. Not heaps, prob a half teaspoon or so.
Looks almost like toothpaste. (not clumpy)
what could this be? Im 38 weeks, I had a check up this morning, and midwide said bub is head down, but is still about 3 fingers width away from actually being in the pelvic cavity. She said I havent yet engaged.
Your show isn't always reddish brown, Mine wasn't. When I had my show it was an off white colour and I think it was very clumpy, about a teaspoon size (just slightly bigger). Freaked me out when it happened and I rang my mum.
If it was your show it could still be a week or 2 away yet, or it could only be a couple of days away. Good luck
It could be a small part of your mucus plug or it could just be a slight change in the discharge, or possibly an infection (if you have had itching or burning when you pee or just around your vagina)
Doesn't mean anything is going to happen but as always, if your concerned go see your Dr, Gp or MW, even if you saw them this morning just go again if your worried - that is what they are there for.
My discharge changed to something like what you're describing at about 36 weeks this time. It's pretty normal...you get an increase in discharge towards the end. Fun, huh? I take 2-3 showers a day, just to freshen up and make sure I don't go getting rashy down there or anything from the extra moisture. You can wear panty liners, but they're notorious for breeding thrush if you wear them for extended periods.
Yeah i dont have thrush or any infection, cause i had the swab test and got the results that it was all negative yesterday.
Perhaps just an increase in discharge, I havent had anymore since, today im back to just the normal clearer runny kind.
Ill keep a monitor on it though. I think im carrying too high still to go into labour anytime soon lol
