I didn't get to sleep last night because i was having a lot of braxton hicks and bub was moving around like a crazy man! Got a little sleep from 7am-9am when the kids got up. Since then i have had a backache and sore belly and more braxton hicks although no movement from bub as yet. I don't think im in labour as the braxton hicks are not painful at all but should i be concerned at all?
With #2 i had very strong BH from 20.
Much more than with DD. to the point i did have to stop. As long as there is no real pain (like contractions) or bleeding i think it should be fine
Hi Antheia
I would not be concerned if your contractions are irregular. For example if you have a contraction that lasts 2 minutes and then the next one lasts for 30 seconds then you have another that lasts for 1 minute. Braxton hicks are usually irregular in the length of the contraction and the time between contractions. However if your contractions are regular in the length of contraction and the time between the contractions then you should go and get it checked out. I would also suggest that you get things checkes if your contractions continue for the rest of the morning.
i have been having the same thing for past three days now and my midwife said same thing as these ladies aslong as they done get strong and painful or i notice any unusal discharge then to take some panadol and take it easy
Well that afternoon the back pain was pretty bad. I had a bath and it didn't help so just went to bed. Felt fine yesterday except still was getting lots of braxton hicks and still getting them this morning.
