    BH barely noticable?

I've only just (in the past week or so) realised what BH feel like for me. It's such a subtle, slight feeling that it's very easy to miss. Most of the time I don't realise they're happening, or I have to double check by prodding my belly to see if it's gone rock hard. Is it normal for BH to be such a slight feeling, especially this late in pg? I have noticed that I'm getting them more often now, but it's still only a very subtle feeling.

Yep, sounds normal to me (sorry to barge into another of your threads LOL). I hardly had any BH's with DS1 and even then they were so light I wasn't sure if it was them or not. I seemed to feel them heaps more the second time around.

That's okay Selina! I don't think I had any with my first, and he was born 3 days before his EDD. In fact, the day before, we'd been to a check-up, and I'd been talking with one of my birth support partners saying that I wouldn't be surprised if I went a week over!

I've also started noticing that when I have BH I feel slightly breathless, and makes me feel a little tired. Again, only a very subtle feeling, but noticable enough. Is that normal?

I think that's possible. Contractions are caused by oxytocin I think? And I know that oxytocin can be relaxing, I would almost fall asleep in the early days of breastfeeding because of oxytocin.

    I think that's right anyway...

Yes, first pregnancy for me. I think I have been having throughout my pregnancy - but it's only now as they're getting slightly stronger and more frequent that I'm really noticing them.

How exciting! If they get more intense you can even start timing them...
