since last night and during today i have been having pains really down low, like in my vag and bum.. occasionally in my lower abdomen.. could it just be gas? my lower tummy sometimes feels tender when i get up off the couch or move around alot.
Last night when i was going to the loo it felt like i had really strained myself in my bladder or something..
should i be worried??
this morning i was able to have a normal bowel movement.. before this they have been hard (sorry if tmi)
we have lots of changes in our bodies during pregnancy...some not that glamorous!
in the 3rd trimester it is common to get aches and discomfort as you uterus grows and your pelvis softens...and as your baby gets bigger they get very good at placing themselves in the most uncomfortable postitions
if at any time you are concerned about yourself or your baby it is always best to pop in and see your dr...it is better to put any concern out of the way, there is enough in life to worry about
Hi Sirenz, sorry I'm no help to you. Just wanted to say I hope you're feeling better soon. From memory, everything felt really different towards the end of my pg, but if you're very uncomfortable and/or worried, perhaps talk to your middie/OB...
All the best
I have aches and pains all the time. As long as they don't last for long, then I don't worry abut them. You will get used to them over the next few weeks. Try not to worry. Obviously if ever in doubt call your ob or midwives at the hospital.
Wow Sirenz... I know it may not feel like it to you, but your pregnancy has flown!!! Wow... you must be so excited!!!
Anyway... what you have described sounds normal to me... perhaps it is a little arm or leg poking you there... I know Harrison used to really love kicking me in my pelvis!!
Wishing you all the very best for the remainder of your pregnancy
Hi Sirenz, what you are experiencing sounds very similar to what I am going through. Someday, I get more aches and pains especially if I move a lot... other days, I feel perfectly fine. I never had any bladder straining because my bub's constantly pushing on my bladder so I have to go to the loo quite often... As for bowel movement, I had struggles with that two weeks ago. The joy of pregnancy sure brings a lot of changes in our bodies. But what you are going through is very common especially in the third trimester as there's lots of changes in our bodies preparing for the birth. Sit back and try to relax! Hope you feel better soon.
ok thanks everyone.. the pains did eventually subside and now i have some new pains lol
Lisa.. i can't believe i am in the third trimester already lol it has gone really quick... but these last months will just drag on i bet knowing my luck.. i just can't wait to meet my son!
Such wonderful feelings sometimes huh! I remember getting very tender at times and apparently this is from relaxin hormones etc and bubs growing and moving. If you're able to just rest as much as you can.... however, having said that also try to not lounge back on the lounge too much and sit more forward to encourage bubby to move and stay in the correct position particularly as the weeks move closer to bub's birth.
I will echo what Cass said... obviously you would be more aware of how you're sitting etc... but I also found it a great relief to get on my heads and knees and tilt my pelvis slightly back and forth... apparently hands and knees position also helps to turn bubs too.
