Unhappy Weird dry patch on lip

I have this dry patch on my bottom lip that extends a bit under the lip as well. It itches a bit too. It's not really noticeable to others but is pinker than my other skin. I've had it about 3 weeks and am annoyed that it hasn't gone away yet.

I want to try some stuff on it but wanted some advice. I have already used chapstick, moisturiser, and Lansinoh breast cream. However, I was thinking of using a fungal cream like Canesten and then if that doesn't work, I'll try triple antibiotic cream. Is that kind of stuff safe for pregnancy. I really don't have time to see a GP right now.

Hey- I have that too on the bottom of my lip in the centre. I also have dry patches in the corner. I havent really done anything for mine, but I think mine is coz I dont drink enough water. Good luck with it. Just go into the chemist if you dont have time for the gp...or maybe wait til you have bubs ( which looks like soonish- and ask at the hospital!)

    Cheers melissa

Canestan is fine to use and I'm sure your triple antibiotic cream would be fine too. Sounds like it could be a bit of dermatitis to me though. I had pretty bad dermatitis during my pg and my OB told me it was fine to use my normal steriod cream (which is quite strong). If you're unsuccessful with your Canestan etc you might want to try a mild steriod cream from the pharmacy like Dermaid.

OMG, i have the exact same thing as well. I wonder if this is common in pg? If you find a way to get rid of it I would love to know.
