What does baby engaging feel like??!!

    Hi ladies,
So i was wondering what it feels like when baby engages. Is it different for everyone?

I am 31weeks today and my bub has been celebrating it seems by wriggling like crazy ALL DAY!! I'm serious i've had at max 15minutes break between at the very most!
Bub is head down and has been for a couple weeks and is sitting at about 1cm above my belly button at the very highest (not in my ribs - it likes sitting low)...
Some of the movements have been really painful including headbutting my cervix at times.
Tonight it seems to just be punching down there really low - seriously like 2cm from my who-ha and the outside world
Sometimes its painful - more just uncomfortable. Its driving me bonkers!! its been such a long day cuz i haven't had a break!! i thought babies were meant to slow down their movements by this stage!!

I do have really bad wind pain atm though - prehaps that has something to do with bub moving? i dont know... but between baby and wind pain i feel really ill *blek*

So anyway - any insight or experiences would be great

For me movement doesn't really slow down at the end of pregnancy - number 1 or 2. It is more squirming than flipping but still constant.

Re engaging - you do notice more space at the top of your uterus.

I really feel pressure in my pelvis and my hips are sorer and there is a stretchy feeling between my hips.

I also get a lot (over 24 hours straight) of Braxton Hicks when bubs engages. This time bubs has engaged and disengaged multiple times.

    Hope that helps!

My DS never engaged until I was in full blown labour with him!! When my waters broke 15 hours after contractions started!! So I'm no help to you lol.
I think bubs engaging is meant to feel like pressure down there, really heavy.

Yes it was more squirming and wriggling rather than full on moving around... Bub's hasn't really been up past my belly button the whole pregnancy - only the odd leg and foot here and there. Even when it was lying transverse for a couple weeks, it was below my belly button and between my pelvis still.
I also have had an unstable pelvis and tailbone pain since 15weeks, so there really is no difference in pain for me. I have been wearing the pelvis belt since about 20weeks. The joints at the back were very sore last night though - i had to wear the belt to bed and i haven't done that in prolly over two weeks.
No noticable braxton hicks - but then i've never had them before so dont really know what they feel like - just what i've read from everyone on here.

    thanks for your replies though
