    Abdominal Hernia

So I have this lump just near the bottom of my left ribs that hurts when I lie on my left hand side. I had an OB appointment today and told him about it. He thinks it's either a small hernia or a fibroid, but is leaning towards a fat hernia.

I have to have an US next week to confirm (which means I get to see bub again ) but it's getting more and more painful when I lie on that side as the weeks go on.

My OB doesn't seem overly concerned at the moment. Has anyone ever had anything like this? Does it go away or get worse? With a choice of only 2 sleeping positions at the moment (left or right side) I can't bear to think that I may not be able to lie on my left side... I'm already sleep deprived enough as it is!!

    Thanks all!

Hi, I have an abdominal hernia from having Tristan. I have an appointment with the hospital next week to see about getting it fixed. Apparently most don't cause any issues after birth and can go down themselves. Mine is causing me a lot of pain so therefore am getting it repaired. I also had an umbilical hernia during pregnancy which is not helping the other hernia either!

I was fine after birth and it only played up when bub was about 7 months.

Sorry that's not much help to you xx
