what is this pain. Its too early for labour isnt it?

hey hopefully someone can help me. Woke up at 5 this morning with severe pain to my lower abdomen right side. Bubs is going crazy moving around. Pain is going down my leg and to my bottom back. Its hurting so bad. I do have a high pain threshhold. Its coming in bursts. Hurts to walk in my lower tummy and 2 and a half hours later bubs is still moving around, going hard in my belly. Pain is coming in waves ouch. Anyone know what it could be? Its too early for him to come. Xx

If you're experiencing severe pain at 31 weeks then I would call your maternity ward / Ob... any out of place severe pain should be checked or discussed asap just to be on the safe side.

Its NEVER too early for labour. It can happen at any stage of your pregnancy.

Hey hun, sound like early labour to me. definately get seen by a dr or midwife, hope all goes well for you. I went into early labour at 34 weeks but he decided after all the fuss was made he wasn't ready to come out. Ended up staying in my tummy til 42 weeks. Tam

Glad to hear you are in hospital, hopefully this is a false alarm, but yes labour can start early, but they can do things to try and stop it if that is the case

Thanks so much everyone one, I just got home from the hospital and it seems that bubs is headbutting my nickers lol, nah he is pressing on my pelvic ligaments and nerves......
Ouchie wawah....... He is happy and healthy so that is all that matters.
