Havent felt bubs move in a couple of hours and dont know whether I should be worried yet or not. I can usually feel it pretty much right through the day - even if they're just little nudges. Have tried cold water and something sweet but am at work so cant lie down.
Can anyone tell me how long between movements is normal???
I know when i couldnt feel Chelsea move and id tried everything, i called the hospital in a panick and they wanted me to come in straight away for monitoring....and everything was fine, she was just being lazy and sleepy.
Maybe poke your tummy a bit...that can help. Hope ur bubby moves soon... i know how scared it makes u feel (well for me it did).
Have you got an ice pack? If you put an ice pack on there they tend to wake up and try and kick it off. I did that once with Seth coz I paniced too! I was trying to get marc to make loud noises and everything. Another thing to do is drink a really big glass of ice cold water. If you are still concerned then I would go in just to check. Stress isn't good for bubs so its better for you to know everything is ok.
I find if I haven't felt bubs for a bit I have a glass of cold water and stop moving myself. Sit down and just concentrate on bubs for a bit. Soon after I get a kick or a shuffle.
Sometimes I don't feel her for hours especially through my busy times of day. I think I just rock her off to sleep lol.
It can be hours between movements for me. Then I get them all night when I want to be still LOL!

yeah - the trick with the cold water is to drink it icy cold and sit up with a really straight back, not to lie down.
Don't forget bubs is getting a lot bigger now and less room to move so they will slown down a bit. If you are that worried, just call the hospital and ask their advice - if there are any other tricks you can try.
I don't think you should start worrying until you haven't felt the baby for twelve hours, at least, that's what I've been told. Your baby is getting bigger now and therefore has less room to move around. I find now that I don't feel my bub as often as I use to but when I do the movements are strong. If you don't feel anything soon, call the hospital but I wouldn't stress after only two hours.
Well I still hadnt felt anything until about 20 minutes ago when I sneezed!!
I tried cold water, sweet lollies and a few other suggestions with no change but as soon as I sneezed I got a foot in the rib!
Bubs must have been in a rather deep sleep! It still feels pretty sluggish which is unusual for me as its always active but I'll pay close attention tonight and call my OB if I really get concerned.
Thanks so much for all your advice xx
I think I'll end up being one of the those over-protective, constantly concerned first time mothers!
Great to hear that Bubs is moving in there. However, I don't think that it can't hurt to call the hossy if you're at all worried. At least that way you can put your mind at ease.
I had a similar episode this week, with baby being sluggish all week! I could feel movements but they were very soft and not at all regular and bubs was particularly quiet at night - so today i rang the ob who was suprised that i managed to wait it out that long and went in and got hooked up to the ctg and all was fine, bubs was just having some down time, and it had moved position so the movments werent as strong to feel but he/she was definatley flipping about in there.
Im so glad you felt something ,it can be so stressful I know.
