Hey there!
Just wondering, seeing as its never happened to me before...
When did your baby turn anterior, or was laying with their back to your left side, ready for birth?
And if they dont turn anterior is there anything we can do to help?
thanks!

Check out the spinning babies website for ways to turn bub anteriorOtherwise, I'm not sure when they turn, Zander was posterior.
Emily stayed posterior until about five minutes before she was born. She just flipped quickly before I started pushing.
As Sarah said though, check the Spinning Babies site. They've got some good advice there!
All the best!
im 34 weeks tomorrow and our bubba is head down and her back to my left side.
Out of the 4 of mine, my second was anterior at 38wks and was the only one that was anterior way before I went into labour (ROA at 38wks), #1 wasn't anterior at my last appointment, but was once labour started and my last two were born posterior.
Don't worry though if baby isn't fully OA (occiput Anterior - back to your belly) when labour starts. Some babies will get as far as LOA (Left occiput anterior - with back on left side) and will go the rest of the way when labour starts. And even then posterior babies can turn fully anterior during labour so it isn't that big a deal if they aren't at the start - it just means that you may have some 'back labour' until they do turn. And like the previous posters have said, check out www.spinningbabies.com for helpful tips on how to get baby to turn and to stay that way.
well, my baby is head down most certainly, I wish I knew more about babies positioning with my 1st, maybe then I could of helped to turn her, she was posterior.
This one is head down and he has had his back to my left side for quiet sometime and hasnt moved it, but I read on the spinning babies website that if you can feel their hands at the front, it means they are posterior. Which I can feel his hands and feet at the front all the time. There is plenty of time for him to turn towards my back. I read there are to sorts of positionings for this, when they face the front with their back to your left side and when they face your back with their back to your left side, and we want him facing either completely the back or facing the back with his back to my left side. I am a little worried he's going to be the same as Lily, Lily was a big baby too and there was no hope with her being posterior was her head able to fit into my pelvis that way.
Oh well Ill keep doing my exercises and see if I can turn him around some more! Little bugger he'll probably do exactly waht his big sister did lol.
So long as his back is at least part-way on your left, it is better than being along your spine or to the right. Babies have quite a few positions they can be in before the birth and its just like looking down on a clock for example - where every position is jsut a bit closer to 12. Google "katie belly rose' which is a diagram showing all the positions that baby can be in during pg. Not sure if there is a link to it from the spinning babies website
