I would pack it now, you never know when bub decides to make their appearance! I have had mine packed since about 28 weeks - well all the baby items are packed and some of my things like maternity pads, but as I'm still using things like nighties/light clothing I haven't finished getting together all my items in the bag.

i started mine a while ago but that was mainly for financial reasons.. there were lots of things i wanted to buy and its been easier just throwing one into the shopping here and there iykwim.. they are almost packed now jus a few more things as well as the last minute stuff like phone chargers and things and i am only due 4 days before you lol but i just feel better knowing its in the process of being done if ur not worried about it then just do it when u feel you want to

Mine is partially packed!! I started it last week. I have had 2 bleeds this pregnany so I wanted it packed ASAP once I had the second bleed just over a week ago!! Also like Noni, I have done it now so still have time to get stuff that is still needed. I put things on the shopping list but for some reason I never remember the shopping list, so things never get bought!!! Lol....

I kept meaning to pack mine but didn't do it until around 3 weeks before EDD... this was because I thought...omg this could happen anytime now!! lol. I had all bubs stuff packed and most of mine. I also had a list (which was kept near the keys) of my last minute items to pick up... my advice on this though is to try to keep the list as short as possible cos with me... it takes a long time to walk and gather things when having contractions.... and bubs was born less than 2 hours from when we phoned the hospital. Oh and if you do forget stuff...there's always hubby/partner to bring them into you All the best to you girls

I havent done a thing for my bags yet... I dont even really know what has to go in there yet. Have the antenatal class on weekend, so I guess I will learn more then and will do it progressively overthe next few weeks. I figure DH can always pop home and get some things if he needs to...but i'd like to have it all ready by 37 weeks i guess...

I wasn't packed at all and my first baby decided to appear at 36 weeks.
I was running around at midnight, in labour throwing everything into bags.
Of course I forgot half of it in my panic so my mother and DH were bringing things up the whole time we were in hospital My mum also spent those three days washing baby clothes and setting up her room because I hadn't done that either ...oops.

After that experience I was ready to rock with my son by 32 weeks - bags packed, nursery done, clothes washed and in drawers, and freezer full of food.
I didn't go early with him but I felt much better knowing I was organised.
So no, I don't think it's too early

ooh now you have me worried Flea! I guess I better start washing the baby clothes etc, i only go on maternity leave at 37 weeks ha ha and was planning to start all the prep then.
Hmmm, food for thought, i guess after the antenatal class I will get moving, though it is sunny today and I am working at home so maybe i will pop a round of baby stuff in the wash to get it started. how cute it will all look hanging outside!

I started packing mine at about 35 weeks...

It actually took me about a 1 week to pack...because when I first started to do it, I just sort of sat there, not knowing what to do...very strange!!!

I finished packing my 'labour' bag about 1 week ago...

So now everything (except toiletries...which I use at the moment) are all packed!

Wishing you all the very very best...

I found packing to be quite a surreal but amazing experience...a real "this is actually happening to me" experience...

I think mine will be a last minute as I don't have enough clothes to wear now as it is without packing some away. I am still desperetly struggling to find bra's and still managing on just 1 bra. which of course will not do in hospital or once feeding.

    arghhhhhh....

delicate dove - i pretty much have one bra too that i am happy with the size of and it is a mat bra but alot of the time i am managing on those singlets with the supports in them coz they are alot more comfy on sore bbs... i just bought a couple of cheap crop top bras (some ppl suggested those bandeu (sp?) things but they dnt come big enough that i have seen lol and slip down alot with the no straps...) they are really comfy and they will stretch as the milk comes in then once it does i will invest in some better mat bras.. just a thought i got some bonds ones from big w they were only $11 each, not heaps of support but good for hanging around and comfort factor

thanks for your feedback....i think monnie you might have touched on something i'm feeling when you said it's like it's really happening now...i think i'm just not ready to believe it's actually happening yet, it's just too amazing, so i'm reluctant to pack. i just don't feel ready or like it's real yet!!i think i need to wait a couple of weeks until i've completely got my head around it iykwwim

I have had my bag packed since about 32 weeks. Which has come in handy as I have had to stay in for high bp overnight a few times, so its been easy for hubby to grab. Even if you don't want to "pack" a bag, just make sure essentials like pjamas, undies, fresh change of clothes, toothpaste & toothbrush, & hairbrush are easily found by your partner. I even bought spare undies, jammies and toiletries so as its ready.

I am still trying to get my head around sometime soon going into hospital and coming out with a baby, even though I have had two already.....Denial works fine for me too.

    GOODLUCK

I had every intention of packing mine when I was in the early stages of labour, just to take my mind off it. But DH conviced me to pack it on the weekend. It's all done except for my personal toiletries. I don't need that much, as the hospital supplies clothes for the bub, so all he/she will need is something to go home in. And I'm happy to bum around in my PJs for 4 days.

Kirst, I agree. I only packed my bag last week! haha... I have to re-arrange it all, coz stuff doesn't fit in there, I can take things like nappies and pads and such in a re-usable bag that I can put dirty clothes in later....
I'd pack soon tho, my work friend finished on a wednesday at 36wks and had her baby on the immediately following saturday!

Good luck girls! Could be any time now!
