Hey ladies well i am so confused and frustrated with this hole pregnancy thing at the moment and the hospital over here.
I was having tightenings yesterday about two an hour and then about three ours later i started getting pains (tmi coming sorry) straight up the centre of jay jay and the erge to go number 2's but nothing there and peeing more than normal (i didnt think it was possible) so when it got to the stage that i could not walk properly i rang my midwife she said come down and she check me out well she lives half 25mins drive from here so all way in car was having these stabbing pains and had one tightening.
Got to her house and she check bubs heart that fine 138 checked cervix soft long and floppy and closed,pushed and poked tummy (could of smacked her was so sore) she said she didnt know what was as in the time was there had no pain or tightenings sent me to the hospital to be hooked up to ctg machine was on there for just over an hour and had a couple while on there but they were not showing up on the machine i asked them if it was broken and they said no it just not enough for us to worry about and i said well all the pain i in dont show up on there said something about a sensitive uterus anyone know what that means?
They sent us home and said if get worse ring midwife again pain stil there but tightenings not there that much.
Maybe the tightenings you are feeling are braxton hicks?? They feel like your whole tummy gets really hard and tight and can be uncomfortable, for some it can be a bit painful but I alwasy found they were just uncomfortable. The shooting pain could be from bub moving down lower and getting ready for exit. I remember walking through a shopping centre a few times leaning so far over the stroller with Izzy because I felt like James was coming OUT the pain in my hoohaa was so strong. Not too sure what the sensitive uterus is though. Is there someone else you can see if you are still worried? Good luck I hope it all eases up for you and you can relax and enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy.

I started getting similar pains to you about the same time if not earlier. My Obs said it was just pressure from the baby and him sitting in nerves and ligaments and is normal. If it gets bad just have a warm bath or shower, use a heat pack and take a couple of Panadol.
I have been told that if its real contractions you will have the tightening and heavy period pain at the same time and regularly. So probably just Bronson getting into position. Which may I add he will only do more of from now on. But good that you called your midwife though cause its better to be safe than sorry and that is what they are there for.
thanks for your reply ladies,i been having B and H's for weeks now and were ALOT stronger than them and bronson is no where near there that what my midwife said could not explain pains as he is high and head at hip he not even in line yet,i will just have to hope that things settle down have scan on 22 anyway and have her again next friday
