Will wearing a normal wire bra for a couple of hours do my milk ducts damage?

OK... so, this is completely vain of me XD

We have a Hawiaan Themed party to go to tonight, and I was planning on wearing a skirt with a spaghetti strapped singlet... only the straps on my maternity bra's are like... 2 inches wide (as they are)

Do you think it will hurt for 1 night to wear a normal bra? The bra in question is the right size for me, so I'm not going to be squishing anything where it won't really fit! The cups are just normal, not push ups, and the wire part is quite generous IYKWIM...

I'm probably giving this way too much thought ... actually I'll probably put the bra in question on and decide that my maternity bra is more comfy anyway...

TIA for your advice lovey's! xx

I wore an underwire bra to 2 Christmas parties when I was about 30 weeks pregnant and have had no trouble with blocked ducts etc. I think prolonged wearing is an issue but a couple of hours shouldn't be a problem.

I imagine if you were going to have a problem, it'd be more likely to happen once you were producing milk?

And, as an alternative if you do decide the other one will be more comfy, can you stitch some wide ribbon/lace over the straps? Could be the best of both worlds.

LR, it is recommended that you not wear underwire bras during pg as it can cause blocked ducts. It can also restrict the growth of the milk making parts of the breast if it is tight. I wouldn't be too worried as you obviously haven't had an issue with it.

Teagz, well you're already out enjoying yourself, but for a couple of hours it shouldn't be a problem.
