    Winge and Any suggestions???

Well I finally finished work and have a week off, but have come down with horrible cold/flu thing I've got some antibiotics have been on them for 3 days but not doing anything. Achey, unstoppable runny nose, cough, sore ears and burning nose and sore throat. Can anyone recommend some safe things to cure or speed up recovery? Make me feel better?

So devo'd cos been looking forward to this week off to finish nursery and have a lot to organise around the house before I head off to have bubs. Just wanna be productive and rest cos I can, not cos I need to.

Anyway that's my poor me winge - sorry.

Sorry hun :hugs: Theres nothing you can do.... but there might be some herbal/homeopathic remedy you could take? not sure on that.

Maybe take some panadol to help with the aches and pains.

My mum used to give me honey + lemon juice + hot water... not sure if it helps but always seems to! I think honey has some sort of soothing affect on sore throats, not sure what the lemon does... I am sure someone else will be more knowledgeable about this! I usually do a tablespoon of honey, half a lemon squeezed, fill with hot water and then mix.

    :yeahthat:

Honey and lemon drinks are fantastic and try to get a good dose of garlic in your diet too. I hope you're on the mend soon hon!

Thanks. It's on my chest now so hope it takes off soon. I'll try the honey lemon and have lots of garlic.

Nothing worse than being sick and pregnant - you're just left to your own devices. Everyone else around you is dosing up on Nurofen and other fantastic drugs like that, where their noses actually stop running for five minutes. And you are just one big snot monster.

I hope you get better soon.
