Question Worried about lack of Braxton-Hicks

    Hi All,

I was just wondering is it usual to have next to no braxton-hicks contractions at 37 weeks? I don't think I have had one for 2 days now unless they are so light I can't feel them or I am asleep when they occur. I know bub is not engaged yet as I just had a clinic appontment at the beginning of the week and bub is still prosterior I think. Does all this affect the start of labour or am I just worrying unneccessarily?

I only got BH's once with my first pregnancy and I still managed to go into labour just fine. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about

No BH here at all with DS.

Birthed baby very well at 40w+2d.

    You're all good.

I wouldn't worry. You are probably having a lot of BH and not even noticing. My DD was in good position and then turned posterior during labour but I still managed to push her out. I would recommend doing some rocking on your hands and knees though to encourage the cub to move around into a nice position for you ;-) You'll be fine and good luck!
