Hi
Need to get some advice from you lovely people here... I've not made many posts before but am a regular to reading other posts!!
I've been getting BH all the way throughout this pregnancy and in the past week they have been stronger and more of them than what I have felt before, although still irregular and all over the place.
My due date is the 4th July, but having c-section on 25th June.
My question is would you travel by car from Brisbane to Forster on a Friday to return on the Monday?
My ob has said that as long as I make sure to stop and walk around every two hours to stop DVT from happening it's okay, and I'm not due to see him until the 7th June. But I'm just a little concerned as to whether I should go or not. If I go then I am with DH and 19mth old DS, if I don't then DH has to go and I'm alone with DS for that time (we don't know anyone where we are as we've just moved here to so no support network if anything does go wrong)
Would appreciate any suggestions and replies...
Thanks
I thinks u should go. U will probably be a little uncomfortable in the car but getting out and walking around will help heaps. I have traveled a lot when pregnant and Ive been pretty good. I think being alone with your toddler would be more stressful than going to Foster (well thats what I would feel anyways).
I'd prefer to be with my DH, no matter where it is at the time, if bubs does decided that he/she wants to see the sights first hand!! Then I'd have my most trusted help, as well as the one that I am most comfy with, with both the entrance of bubby and the caring for #1........could be lots of fun with very regular stops for the following: a) a wander around for your health and the sanity of your little one, b) the obligatory and inevitable regular loo stops and c) your pg!!! Must grab a choccy donut & a cuppa tea to sustain yourself til the next stop!!!!!!!
i agree with the other girls - i'd go as its nicer to be with your family rather than home alone, esp as you don't know anyone where you live and it could be very lonely for you, not to mention tiring.
You'll prob be a little uncomfortable but as long as you stop and stretch regularly you should be fine.
Have a great wekeend in Foster
