I've been offered two classes next week (Mon and Tues) to teach kids Body Combat. It's around the corner from my house which is 5 mins from school.
The classes are 1.40-2.40. School finishes at 2.30. Now usually I don't pick them up till 2.40 as they take 10 mins to get their stuff and get down to the car park, plus I can find a park at that time. If I do the classes then i'll get there at 2.50.
So it's only 10 mins after I usually get there, but 20 mins after school finishes. I really don't know what to do...they do have after school care but that costs $15 each and I only get $35 for the class so it wouldn't be worth it.
Obviously if I got their and something had happened to them I would never, ever forgive my self...What do you think? I know that 20 mins after school there will still be lots of people around. I'd get them to wait inside the school.
Do you think if I asked the teacher they might let them stay in the classroom for 15 mins then slowly wander down to me?
What would you do? I could really use the extra $70 but obv not if it puts the kids at risk. Do you think I should ask the school what they think?
