protestants in a catholic school system

I have been looking into the private school system in our town.
And they have a category system for entry.

As a non catholic attending a private catholic primary school (if we did) we would be 5th on the list of eligibility. (out of 6)

would they really knock you back if you are not catholic but had your child in a private catholic school for the past 7 years?

Only if there were no places left. If the class was chockers full, then Catholic children would get let in first, but TBH, I can't see them turning you down.
Our primary school had a 25 or so limit, but when my sister was enrolled they ended up with 45 kids on the list for kindergarten. They split them & had 2 classes. So they didn't turn anyone down

Thanks BJ - we are looking at the primary school but didnt want to pay all the money to put them in a CathEd primary that has a follow on HIgh school program if they would get turned down for being non-catholic.

They will only knock you back if they have no available spots. Families that meet the ciriteria 1-4 would get a spot before you do. So if they have spots after that, then you get one.
