awww i love pinafores....they look so pretty
ha! me too Ginger!
But I'm just not sure if Miss H would be comfy in a dress all day ... you know, with rolling around and flashing her undies!
Not to worry Nikky, my DD would totally be into rolling around flashing her knickers so at least miss H wouldn't be alone!
I love the pinafore too, so cute!
My dd does the same so they can all flash together! I love the pinafore so planning on getting it no idea what else yet, I think the girls wear tights with the pinnie though.
Tried on uniform this morning and I nearly cried lol! My baby is growing up! She loved it though, asked the uniform lady if she could wear it home.
Awwwwwwwww. I want a photo!!
o0o0o0oh missed you at the fitting Sangie!
I bloody well choked up as well when Miss H put that dress on! She looked so darn cute!
Didn't like the shorts :o So, out shopping today I found a Skort at Target! so bought that! hehe
nikky are you going to CHPS as well??
sangie i missed you this morning then :(
the pinafore you cant order til about march next year.
DD has 2x summer dresses, 1x cotton cardie, 1x polar fleece zip up jumper, 2x long sleeved polos, 1x shrot sleeved polo, ix pinafore, 1x skort (from target) 1x bootleg pants (barely worn and now have holes in the knees from falling over) for PE, 1x red skivvy (target) numerous pairs of tighs, black undies and black rio netball knickers to wear under summer dress (big W) as she spends lots of time upside down on the monkey bars
Yep Olive...well, not me (think I past the age for prep about 15 years ago....:goodone:... ) Miss H is starting Prep next year :)
Oh wow, think I completely under ordered Olive! All I ordered, so far, is 1 x Summer dress, 1 x Cardigan, 2 x short sleeve polos, 1 x skort (from target as well) some netball knickers (from target)....will get the trackies/pants from Target as well, cause the ones at the school didn't really fit Miss H well at all!
lol!!
this time last year i only ordered the dresses and cardie oh and the hat.
DD is in prep this year and loving it! we love the school too.
the class on the hill is usually grouped with the class closest to the sandpit and the other two are grouped together, its because they have 4 classes this uear as opposed to 3 last year
It was Ginger who told me how good the school was, and how your daughter was going! She is one smart cookie! we went to the open night and fell...in....love! So am happy to hear all the positive things being said about it! yayayayay
Oh, yeah, I ordered the hat as well...and the bag...
yes miss ginger came with me to CHPS for a tour and we both fell in love, my DH went o the open night that night and loved it too, we have to drive to get there but its worth it!
I have convinced a friend to have a look at the school even though they are building a house opposite another school around the corner! I am sure I will cry seeing dd in the uniform.
Bugger I missed you olive! Will have to meet you one of these days!
Nikky I pretty much got what you did except I only got one short sleeve polo. Plus I got the bag and hat. Didn't get any pants but might look in target, good idea! I felt like I underordered too but I figure she'll have enough for term 1 and I'll get the pinny/polar fleece jumper and tights etc next year.
Yeah Sangie, that's what we will do as well...get the pinafore etc for winter :)
Oh, you will tear up B_R! It is such a * * moment...gah, imagine us on their first day of Prep!
we will sangie!!
i also go the bag, library bag and lunch order bag.
The school pants are nice,
B_R take tissues lol! I almost cried but I know I definitely will on her first day! Heck I'll probably cry at transition.
Olive oh yeah I got library bag too (forgot about that) but wasn't sure on lunch order one. Pants confused me lol! Too many options so will sort those out next year I think!
DD only wears pants on PE day (and when they did swimming for 2 weeks)
shes a dress girl
Dd is a dress girl too she is wearing dresses with tracksuits at the moment to stay warm but still be girly enough! Doesn't help that she has no bum and pants keep falling off her! It's good to get feedback from you Olive!
you guys are making me jealous! wish i could send my little man there too, such a lovely school :)
Why can't you ginger, too far? It is a bit of a drive for us but we think it will be worth it, we looked at 5 other schools and CHP was by far our favourite.
DD prefers dresses too but she has surprised me lately and has started putting on tracky pants, still won't wear jeans though! So hopefully she'll wear both dresses and pants at school. Thanks for your feedback on uniforms olive!
it's just that bit too far for us. plus we are really part of the local community here now and i want him to stay with his two besties and have local friends iykwim?
I'd love to see you every day ginger :(
Yeah fair enough ginger :)
Awww I will definitely be crying when I see her in uniform. Our problem is we are still in Melbs with plans to move to the coast by September? October? November? December?> All dependant on me getting a job, so she's enrolled here at HEPS, and will be enrolled down there in term 4 once we know what the frack is going on! Have had a crappy day, am totally over work, I just want to get a job down there now and be there yesterday and it's starting to do my head in! Ok off to vent in a different thread sorry to derail but all this talk of uniforms is making me teary coz I am so excited for her and just wish I could know for sure what was going on in our lives!
Tan I hope you get a job sorted soon so you can start organising miss I for school
Thanks hun, 7 weeks of term left which is around 5 to find something. 2 popped up today but they are graduate positions :'( Booo. Can't wait to get her uniform etc. sorted out!!
Tanstar I hope you can get something sorted soon so you can get the enrolment done.
We got 2 dresses, 1 cardie and 2 polo's and the hat. Dd refused the shorts but we got a skort from target we will get tracksuit pants from there or Kmart. I will get the polar fleece jacket in winter she didn't want to take the cardi off! I will find a library bag and smock that are pink and pretty for her so she has her pink!
YAY B-R! My DD loved the cardi too. Good idea to get some pink!
I was surprised at the cardi, normally she loves the polar jackets. But it looked really cute on her.
We use the polar fleece when it's cold/freezing but cardi when warmer, pls the fleece one zips up high and the collar doesn't foold down so can get annoying
My poor baby girl :( after trying on the uniform she freaked out about school and regressed with tting, she had 5 accidents at kinder. She finally told me she is scared of school, she has been at her kinder/daycare for 4 years and hates changes to her routine. We are talking to her about how fun school is and have shown her photos of the school and will get her to talk her cousins who go to school.
Oh no BR :( poor chook :( can you are her to the school during school hours to try and reduce her anxiety?
There are lots of preps next year.....116 enrolled so far :o
The other thing I was going to tell you is that lunch at CHPS is late...1.30, recess is 11.30
Oh no BR, I hope talking to her cousins helps.
Yikes Olive 116 preps!!! I hope that doesn't mean bigger class sizes. Where are they going to put them all do u think?
I think it will mean 6 prep classes, they have spare classrooms!!
Ah ok, I didn't know they had spare rooms. I bet that is way more than they were expecting. At the info night they were predicting 4 prep classes.
Way more! They may convert the large prep room on the hill into 2, otherwise there are spare rooms, just changes the layout grade wise throughout the school, they weren't expecting this many, must be long something right ;) drawing from other schools I believe and surrounding areas.
116 preps! How big is the school? My DS is about to start, but there is only a dozen or so kids in the Year 0 class. Only 250 in the school which goes up to Year 8.
How many sets of uniform do they need? I am thinking 2-3 shirts, 2 pants, and a fleece? Is that enough or am I under supplying?
About 490 this year, that's about average
