I would say yes it is worth it, I think you should definitely try the cover letter & report. If you need anything lemme know (I didn't know you called!).
Ok, so DD really wants to move away from her High school, and I am becoming more and more dissallusioned with where she is now.
I have called the school I want her to attend (it is sooo brilliant), but they are full for this year, it was suggested to enrol her for yr11. She is really unhappy.
I know there are places left for kids that move into the area and if I'd had the brains at the time I would have said we were in the zone (and frantically called Cailin 5 minutes later to use her address rofl). I know they want to keep the class sizes down. I know there is another school closer to us (yuk), but I WANNA GET PUSHY!!
She isn't leaving because she is a norty, bad girl, she can't stand the distractions and some teachers can't control the students. She has an excellent report, except for the barrstard PE teacher that wrote quite a long tome about how she has a bad attitude towards PE. GEE WHIZ - she refused to participate in Cheerleading as she doesn't consider it a sport, and they wouldn't let her play soccer with they boys - but I digress.
HOw can I get them to change their minds? I was going to send in a copy of her report and a cover letter pleading her case. Should I promise an A- average?
Is it worth it? It's very important to us both. Has anyone gotten around the Zoning before??
Heeeelllppp!!!

Yep definately try the letter and see if that helps. Good luck.
I went to a school that I wasnt in the zone for. I just rocked up to the new school on the last day of year 10 and asked to enrol for year 11. I didnt know they could have refused my enrolment because I wasnt in their zone!
It's mainly because they are so full, maybe I should just buy the uniform and drop her off lol!
regardless of what happens this year, enrol her for next year.
