very annoyed, but is it my fault?? neg feedback?

I just bought a playgym on ebay - ok price, paid COD when I picked up. It is one of the common square ones with the slide coming out - a couple of big name brands make them...

I just got it home and set it up, and the step that runs through the middle is missing. This is what the child climbs onto to go down the slide. I have send a message saying that there is a piece missing to see what the seller comes back with.

I have gone back and looked at the photo and can JUST work out that there is not one in the photo, but would never have noticed had I not been looking for it. It is taken on an angle so that it would mostly not be visible anyway. There was no mention of a missing or broken piece in the Ad. IMO it is not safe to use for a toddler without the step.

Am I justified in being annoyed? Do I leave neg feedback if I don't get a response?

What would you do?

i'd probably leave negative feedback, they should've told you if there was something wrong with the playgym. maybe ring the company that made it and see if you can get a step sent out.

I've already started investigating a replacement piece JIC and was told a 12 week wait for it to be shipped!

Ummm.. I know when we got our playgym - to buy the stairs was optional - you turned the slide over and it made stairs - or you could get another one - so you have slide on one side, stairs on the other.

They may not have got the extra optional part - so its not "missing" a part, as its not sold as part of the play gym. Thats if its the same as ours of course!

I'd leave neg feedback if you dont hear back from the seller. They misled you! They didn't tell you that it had missing parts! Good luck hun :)

It's not the slide/stairs, it's the bit in the middle to climb onto - the step/seat in the centre of the playgym... without this you can't get onto the slide. They do come as part of the pack when bought new.

What is the "correct" etiquitte in regards to how long I wait for a response before leaving feedback?

They have definitely misled you. this should have been mentioned in the item description. i would give them 5 days and then leave negative feedback.

That is very misleading. Definitely neg them if they don't get back to you or can't come up with a solution you are happy with. I'd give them 5-7 days.

I just sold my playstation and forgot to send the power chord.It wasnt in my photo of the item either as It was still plugged in beind the tv. The guy msgd me and said could I send it or if it is missing could I pay for the replacement part. I have sent it today.

What I am saying is that it may have been a genuine mistake. So give them a couple of days to get bac to you and if nothing then leave neg feedback. :)

If you have emailed them give them a few days (say 3) to respond. If there is no response then open a dispute through ebay. If it goes unresoved then leave Neg feedback. I wouldn't do it straight off the mark gotta give people the benefit of the doubt for genuine mistake.

Unfortunately you can't file a dispute if you picked the item up :(. Ebay say all responsibility is in your hands once you've been to inspect the item yourself. Unfortunately with an item like that, it would be easy to not notice a missing part.

I think neutral seems fair in this case especially if she didn't know there was a part missing.

Ok I've had another look and there is no way anyone could claim that they

as there is nowhere to sit at the top when ready for a slide. I am on the verge of leaving negative feedback.

I guess I am torn - should I just leave the negative feedback? She has my home number so I guess I am a bit worried she'll start leaving nasty messages as well if I do this...

You would definitely know if that part was missing, I have the same set and know exactly what you are talking about.

It's up to you if you leave neg or neutral. If you feel misled and lied to then leave neg, if you're undecided, leave neutral. Even neutral feedback will affect their score so it will make an impact.

I doubt the seller would call you to harass you, they would most likely be embarrassed and know they are in the wrong.

I would email them back and ask how they didnt realise that a piece was missing especially sinse she said her boys used a chair?????

Did you pay alot for it? - not the point..she lied.
