Newborn Nighties ??
Hi,
I am trying to find some baby nighties, long sleeve with the drawstring at the bottom.. and I am not having much luck. I have found a few different brands like Ouch and Uh-Oh online but they are a bit expensive.. (about $30 each..)
Just wondering if anyone can tell me if you have seen any around?? I have heard Big W sells them, but our local store doesn't stock them anymore, and neither does pumpkin patch.

Hmmm ... what you say drawstring at the bottom - do you mean drawstring at the bottom of the sleeve or bottom of the nightie?
I got DD a few from Target (no drawstring in sight mind you) because I was told that they'd be easier in the hospital than taking her out of growsuits when it was time to change her. And they lasted for ages because when they were getting short, I'd just shove some jim jam bottoms underneath. She's nearly 2 now and is still wearing her newborn nighties as a jim jam top!

Pumpkin Patch have similar to what you're looking for - they don't have an actual draw string but are long and have a band at the bottom that draws it in - they come in green and yellow and are less than $20 each. i have a couple of them for Emerald and love them! so much better than that standard Bonds ones that are everywhere (pity they only come in the green and yellow this year!)

I was going to say the same as BG!! I was going to get some but if this bub turns out to be a boy I was wondering if they were to girly!! Lol....What do you ladies think about nighties on boys?? Sorry for the hijack!!
-
ACJ - i think you're best to look at what is convenient for you and bugger the girl/boy associations! we love the nighties and would have used for either gender. they do have a little bit of a pic on them so you might want to check that out (can't recall what it is to be honest) but i think the green in particular would suit either gender... they ended up fitting like a grow suit but with no leg entanglement. the only reason we don't use them much (they're big enough to use for a few months) is because it's so damn cold down here and Emerald doesn't like being wrapped and exposes her little legs!

I used nighties for my boy and girl. It really does make life easier and they do look gorgeous in them with their skinny little newborn legs!!!!
JNG- You can get the drawstring ones from Baby Bunting.

acj - I`ve had 2 boys and my 3rd is on his way in 9 days time, all have/will be wearing the nighties, I just love them, they were a 'must have' for me when I was pregnant with my first. They are so convenient, no fiddly little buttons to do up in the middle of the night when your more asleep then awake LOL
-
I had some in white made by Eeni Meeni Mini Moh from Baby Bunting, but I can't remember how much they cost at the time...
-
Dee that is what I learnt with DS and we would wake in the morning and they would be all uneven!! Lol. Tahnks ladies....I am off to hunt for some unisex ones today!! My mum said she saw some in Best & Less the other week!!
-
I have some with elastic at the bottom instead of a drawstring - PM me if you want them and I can send them to you as I never used them and have no need for them.
-
thanks ladies..
I forgot to mention that I am in regional vic and dont have many of the stores that you have mentioned. Have checked the stores websites and none of them have any for sale online : (
Online stores are so much easier for me. The Eenie Meenie ones are very cute, but they are $50 each, so bit to expensive!
I am also after unisex colours / white, as we havent found out what sex the baby is.
Nai - thank you I have sent you a PM
-
i also loved using nighties! i have a bonds one and 2 from just hatched, though i found the neck too big, they had elastic at the bottom!
-
ohhh I have found some at JK Kids, has anyone ordered from their website before?
-
Well Best & Less and Pumpkin Patch have none!! I knew this would be a mission!! Lol. My aunty swears by the JK Kids website jng1977.
-
I was recently given a Pumpkin Patch nightie with elastic at the bottom. It's green & white striped with a bird on the chest.
If anyone wants it PM me as it's not something I'm going to use.

ACJ - Also just found them on special at 9monthswaiting... always the way when your looking for something else :)
