    Newborn Nighties ??

    Hi,

I am trying to find some baby nighties, long sleeve with the drawstring at the bottom.. and I am not having much luck. I have found a few different brands like Ouch and Uh-Oh online but they are a bit expensive.. (about $30 each..)

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if you have seen any around?? I have heard Big W sells them, but our local store doesn't stock them anymore, and neither does pumpkin patch.

Hmmm ... what you say drawstring at the bottom - do you mean drawstring at the bottom of the sleeve or bottom of the nightie?

I got DD a few from Target (no drawstring in sight mind you) because I was told that they'd be easier in the hospital than taking her out of growsuits when it was time to change her. And they lasted for ages because when they were getting short, I'd just shove some jim jam bottoms underneath. She's nearly 2 now and is still wearing her newborn nighties as a jim jam top!

Pumpkin Patch have similar to what you're looking for - they don't have an actual draw string but are long and have a band at the bottom that draws it in - they come in green and yellow and are less than $20 each. i have a couple of them for Emerald and love them! so much better than that standard Bonds ones that are everywhere (pity they only come in the green and yellow this year!)

ACJ - i think you're best to look at what is convenient for you and bugger the girl/boy associations! we love the nighties and would have used for either gender. they do have a little bit of a pic on them so you might want to check that out (can't recall what it is to be honest) but i think the green in particular would suit either gender... they ended up fitting like a grow suit but with no leg entanglement. the only reason we don't use them much (they're big enough to use for a few months) is because it's so damn cold down here and Emerald doesn't like being wrapped and exposes her little legs!

I used nighties for my boy and girl. It really does make life easier and they do look gorgeous in them with their skinny little newborn legs!!!!

JNG- You can get the drawstring ones from Baby Bunting.
