i have a 250g packet of cream cheese in the fridge & i'm looking for ideas other than a cheesecake. i know i bought it for a specific reason/recipe but i cannot for the life of me remember what it was :rolleyes: so i'm looking for inspiration!
does anyone have some tasty cream cheese recipe ideas they'd like to share? savoury or sweet...
I use it for a filling with chicken - i mix it with garlic and stuff chicken breasts for kinda chicken kiev.
i think you cn make a pasta sauce with it - like a low fat carbonara - mix it with eggs and then put it in after some peas, mushrooms (bacon if you want it). yum.

You can mix it with salsa sauce to make a dip. Mix little bits of each together first to see if you like the taste.
You can mix it with cocoa powder (or milo at a pinch) to make a filling, then use it to stick or stack biscuits together (whatever's in the cupboard)
You can make a carrot cake and use it for icing (my favourite)
put it on a home made pizza or in ya scone batter
You could use it to make icing for patty cakes :)
i just got a cookbook with all philly recipes - it is great. free with purchase of 3 products from coles...
I mix it with smoked trout, dill, and a few other bits and use it for stuffing those small sweet chillies in the jars that the name of escapes me right now....
you often see them already stuffed in deli displays but I don't like whatever they use.
i have also sometimes used this mix in wrap with some lettuce to bulk it out.
