I remember I bought a (2nd hand) Angel sounds one. I could pick up bub's heart beat from about 10 weeks. Angel sounds dopplers are a little more affordable than others available. I sold mine during my last pregnancy due to learning about the danger of doppler usage.

Thanks Tanya
I didnt know there were any dangers of doppler usage.... can you pls tell me more.
Thanks
Jen
Ultrasound - More powerful, more dangerous, more unethical
This one reads of the danger of u/s.... and it's something to do with the continuous pulse that makes doppler even more of a concern.
Let me see if I can find what I read last year...
I knew there were risks too and thats why i will not buy one however i have had (or will by Monday) 4 scans and am not even 10 weeks! i did insist however that the last one not be internal due to my bleeding
Hi Skitten Pig
I purchased a Doppler a few weeks ago online through a company called Clinical Guard – if you Google it you should find the website.
It was around $300 but I wanted to go with quality, it is also FDA approved and fairly easy to use.
If you do decide to purchase one just don’t go overboard with using it, the information I’ve read advises to limit use to 1-2 minute sessions daily or 2 x 10 minute sessions per week.
I only plan to use mine every couple of weeks for a little reassurance.
All the best with your pregnancy.
Thanks Tanya & Rach - appreciate your feedback!
Rach - finally someone local to me - seems everyone is in NSW or Vic that i speak to on here... where abouts in Brissy are you? Good luck with your pg - had you been trying long?
Hi Skitten, just wondering if you ended up purchasing a doppler? I'm looking at one also and have found one on ebay I'm keen on, It's basically $190 with postage. Thought I'd check what you decided on before I get one :)
Oh hey, I just noticed you are on the sunny coast too :) Where are you having bubs and do you have an OB?
Hi Cherished
I actually bought a doppler on ebay (first beats) for $100 (RRP about 400) but it seems highly likely i have been ripped off as it has been over 2 weeks and no doppler and no answers to my emails :wall: not happy...
I am at Beerwah - where are you?
Do you have many friends in the same boat as you - pregnant or with lil ones? i have few to be honest... one is Brisbane but my best friends have teenagers.
Congrats on your first pregnancy  i am 12 weeks friday and the first trimester is not what i would call 'fun' but..... all worth it as we are just so so thrilled to be pregnant!
Jenny
forgot to mention that our OB is Ted Weaver and we are going to go to Selangor at Nambour..
I hired one through first beats, had it within a couple of days of ordering it and sent it back when DD was born. I had a miscarriage with my first and DD's pregnancy was showing the same signs, but using the doppler whenever I felt anxious just calmed me immedietly. The rental was just a direct debit.
Corelly
Hey SP i was wondering how you were getting on with your doppler? i was going to ask in the bb thread. bummer it hasnt arrived
I would email the seller again and ask if they reg the post and they should have insured it for you as it is $100. get stuck into them i say
Im thinking about hireing one from the site you mentioned corelly so thanks for that - nice to know someone who has used them
I'm farily sure i have been scammed to be honest - it has been too long and i have sent heaps of msgs to which i have received no reply.... Put an official complaint into EBay on Friday. I am going to hire a doppler now.
