Falling in love...
I'm falling head over heals, madly in love with my DD! After a really tough first 12 weeks of survival mode & recovery the last couple of weeks have been so delightful and such a revelation. I felt so guilty for not instantly loving her, after wanting her for so so long, but now its all falling into place and I just can't get enough of her. I even want to wake her from sleeps to see that gorgeous smile when she realises its me and to give her kisses all over.
I am such a lucky woman.

i think after trying for so long, you get stuck in the mindset of wanting something but forget to switch over for a while to "wow, i have it now" and appreciating it - and like you said, those first couple of months are really full on. it's gorgeous that you're getting to know your princess and you're falling in love with her all over again (cos i'm pretty sure oyu fell in love with her on the inside!) - it's an amazing rollercoaster ride
but don't wake her - you'll regret it lol

Soooo happy for you dusty!! and it keeps getting better - my DD is 2 and I am still more besotted with her every day :loveshower:

Naw, I'm all teary. And yeah, sometimes I just lie and watch my DS and breathe him in. He's intoxicating. And hilarious. And awesome. And delightful.
Sorry, what were we talking about? Oh yes, your DD. She is beautiful and a lucky little girl to have you as her mother. Freeze frame anyone?

hun, it's great that you're really able to enjoy it all now. You had a lot to deal with in the first weeks, and I think it's a difficult time for any new parent. I am so glad you have come out the other side
Your little girl is absolutely gorgeous and I'm not at all surprised that you can't get enough of her smile. Please give her a cuddle for me.

Great to hear you so happy and in love, it does take time for the shock to wear off i remember thinking i was so sure i was only lucky enough to be pregnant i never thought they would come out alive and when they did it took a little getting used too. Now they make me feel more alive than ever :) Enjoy DD and her beautiful smile and definately no waking :)
