What happened first? Waters broke or contractions?

With my DD I had a good 20+ hours of contractions before my waters broke.

Just interested to hear in what order it happened for others, did you have no signs and waters broke, or did you have contractions start first?

My waters have broke every single time, then contractions started afterwards.

DD1 - contractions, ARM about 24 hours later due to medical concerns.
DD2 - waters broke, slow steady leak, no gushing, contractions about 7 hours later.

DS1 - induced with gel, contractions came a few hours later
DS2 - contractions first, waters broke shortly before birth
DD - waters broke, then contractions took 20hrs to arrive

All quite different!

All three (two inductions with AROM, then spontaneous), waters broke a few minutes before bub was born. A few seconds in Master I's case.

My mum's births were all waters first. She was surprised when I told her it's fairly rare for that to happen.

Waters broke with DS1, he was born 78 (yes, 78) hours later.

DS2 was a planned c/section.

All three were contractions first with waters breaking either during pushing or after the head was birthed.

Both labours started with contractions. With DD1 they broke about halfway through (3 hours in) and with DD2 the broke about 6 minutes before she was born.

With Spock, my waters broke and then contractions started =)

With my first I started having contractions and my water broke about 15 hours later.

My second was the opposite. Waters broke with no warning. Labour didn't begin until maybe 14 hours later, but was then very quick.

Ds - waters broke, contractions started 12 hours later.
Dd - waters broke a few mins before birthing her.

DD1 - contractions
DS - hind waters broke
DD2 didn't get a start lol

I had contractions for about 2 hours before going in. I was 6 cm 4 hours after contractions started. My waters never broke, they had to break them. I have no idea how far in it was when they did, but my labour was 12 hours.

DS1 - Waters broke first - contractions about 45 mins later
DS2 - Contractions first - waters were broken at 10cms

With DD, my hind waters broke, and then I was induced due to labour not starting at all, over 30 hours later. 20 hours of induced labour and my forewaters were broken by AROM. 3 hours of pushing finally produced the baby!

With DS1, I had a long labour at home (no idea how long it was). I went to hospital and was told I was 9cm dilated and my waters were broken by AROM again, and baby was born 20 mins later.

With DS2, I had a 10 hour labour, waters were broken by AROM again, and baby was born about an hour later.

With DD, my hind waters broke, and then I was induced due to labour not starting at all, over 30 hours later. 20 hours of induced labour and my forewaters were broken by AROM. 3 hours of pushing finally produced the baby!

With DS2, I had a 10 hour labour, waters were broken by AROM again, and baby was born about an hour later.

Waters broke I'm a flood then contractions and DD born 26 hrs and 4 minutes later.

Contractions were 2 minutes apart, doctor broke my water. Was in labor for 2 hours and almost 7cm and 100% effaced when they broke it.
