Hello Again

[B]Lisa-B]I have just checked in FF for you & it says CD 1" This is the first day that you have red blood flow (not spotting)." I hope this helps & also in regard to temping I do it as soon as I wake, this is the same time of weekday but not always same on weekend so I just put in the times & hope for the best.
Alex-Countdown starts on the day of D&C, mine was exactly 27 days, I am sure that is how it works anyway, that is what my ob said.
megsmum-I am glad to hear your Dr is listening to you. I find it so bizarre that all Dr's are so different. I have grown up with a girl who has had 7 miscarriages and her ob started testing cause she has demanded(4th miscarriage tests started) I had different ob (only 2 here in my small town) & he did all the tests on the placenta, came back clear then he did 6 or 7 BT to make sure they all came back clear. He did this so he knew what he may have to deal with when I became pregnant again. He could find no problems & said off you go & see you soon. Soon has not come yet but at least I can be assured there are no problems with me at this stage.

Hi everyone,

Well I tested this afternoon (at work) I couldn't help myself. Now I wish I hadn't as it was a BFN. I got the test in a hurry and afterwards realised it was one that measures hcg levels of 25+ so the likelihood of it working early on in the middle of the day this early on is remote. It was a two pack so I'll try and hold off a few more days (if AF doesn't arrive) and give it another go first thing in the morning. Only one queasy moment today & no other symptoms so it's probably all in my head anyway.

Satya - Don't you hate that! Your symptoms sound really good though, I'm sure your BFN is on it's way, probably too early and wrong time of day!

Bun, it's great to hear you sounding better. You really are a great friend to put your feelings aside and be there to support your friend. Hopefully as you spend more time with her you will get used to the fact that she is pg and it won't be as painful for you to see her.
Satya, thanks for telling me to be strong and not test. These last few days have been the longest in my life! I had planned on waiting until tomorrow morning to test as I that would be 13dpo but of course I gave in and at lunch time today (really bad time so early on) I tested and got a VERY faint second line! I feel no better off because the line is so faint and it does say on the test (Pregnosis) that a shadow line can appear but of course it is early on and a bad time of the day to test. Sharon, what was the test that you used that gave you the false positive? As far as symptoms go I am tired and have slightly sore boobs but nothing much else, I really don't feel pregnant at all. I am not going to test again until Wed and I'm not going to log on until then either or I will be too tempted.

Thank you all so much for your warm welcomes. I have been away since I first posted last week and have just read them. I feel so much better having all your support! So many posts to get through it's hard to keep up, but I'll give it a go!

Lalla - your friend musn't have been thinking clearly when she said that! My friend asked me if it had anything to do with the fact that I jog every day? It made me feel terrible, but my Dr assured me that jogging would NOT cause m/c.

Bun - It's great to hear you're feeling so much more positive since you spoke with the counsellor. I've been thinking of doing the same. I thought I had everything on track, but we've had an influx of family gatherings which means spendning so much time with my sister inlaw whose just had her 2nd baby. Although I think my sister inlaw is just great - like with you and you're friend- it can be really hard. We didnt tell the inlaws about the m/c because I didn't want them to feel that with the new baby they had to tread softly around me - but I don't know that it makes things that much easier!

Satya - sorry to hear it was no BFP as yet, but like you said it may just be that you tested too early for the type of test you have - so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Alex- I bled for 2 weeks after my D&C - sound quite similar to what you described. AF then visited 2 weeks after that. I had the same query as you did, and when I checked with my DR she said to count from D&C.

I had my 6 week post D&C check up today. The DR said all was fine, and technically we can start TTC when we're ready, which if I'm counting correctly would be later this week. I think I might wait until next month though - just to go through a full normal cycle.

Any how, DH has yelled 'dinners ready' so to the rest of you a big hi - hope you all had great weekends and have a good week ahead!

Herbie/Claudia - thanks for that, I thought it was D&C but with it being first cycle, I am getting a bit 'needy' as to what's what :redface: (Practice Nurse said yesterday bleeding also may be connected to the fact my haem. dropped so low pre-D&C and is only just coming back up)

Satya - am so glad (as this means it's not just me!!) to know you caved in and tested, I would have done AGES ago, I'd be on my second packet by now!!!. BUT sad to hear is was BFN - BUT was dodgy time of day and a bit early so hope not gone just yet.:pray:

Megsmum: Hoping some good things coming from the testing, I think my GP is great too - so not what I was used to in the UK!

Bun: hope you are still feeling positive and are looking after you xx

Tonners: let us know whether you gave in or not (and if not, where did you get your willpower from and can I have some plleeeaassee!!)

Tonners - good luck to you too, hopefully that line will get stronger - it's so hard not to be tempted into testing early isn't it? I can just see that happening to myself this month LOL

Claudia - welcome from me too! I'm new here too and the ladies here have been so nice, it really has helped me to start to feel better since I have been here. Good luck for whenever you decide to TTC

Sarah - good luck for this month - I know what you mean about temps being all over the place, mine took a huge nosedive the last two days! I'm hoping it is the pre-ovulation dip and not because I was having interrupted nights sleep before that.

Saltprincess - I really hope you get things sorted out with that clot real soon, good luck for next Thurs, hope the time between now and then goes really quick for you!

Well, there's nothing much to report here, just BDing and waiting for ovulation to happen - fingers crossed it will be today, it's CD15 now. I just feel like my temps have been absolutely MENTAL this cycle. And I couldn't get a positive OPK again!! Don't know what's happening there...must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what!

Got my beta HCG result back today and it was <2, so at least that won't be interfering with conceiving this month. And I went to see my specialist today (I am diabetic) and he was really happy with me, except for needing to gain a few kilos. He said there's no reason as far as he is concerned for the miscarriages.

Although I have to say I don't feel hugely optimistic about conceiving this month - don't know why, maybe I'm just getting a bit pessimistic after the last 2 months :( Oh well, I'll just keep plodding on I guess and try not to think about it too much over the next couple of weeks. And try to resist the temptation to test early!

Enough about me! Hope everyone is well :)

Well girls i know i said i wouldnt be around but i cant help myself LOL... I have decided just to relax take it easy NO TEMPING!! DTD when we feel like it, and if it happens then it is meant to be for this month, i have appointment with a natrupath tomorrow so hopefully he can help me out a bit and i have a appointment with dr for next week to get him to give me a check over too and look at a nasty scar i got from when i had a mole cut out last yr have been meaning to do something about it but kept forgetting it, its got a lump over where i had it taken out weird want it gone by the wedding.... So ill be around from time to time not all the time though....

Tonners - congrats on the faint positive - it doesn't matter if it's faint - it still is positive. Glad you managed to wait - waiting does have it's rewards.

Heybacko - I really wish I hadn't caved, but I'm glad it made you feel better about caving. It's a waste of money using a test too early. I haven't bought the cheapy internet ones yet as my DF doesn't want me to but I think I will soon - this could get way to expensive if I don't.

Herbie - sorry can't answer your question.

Nothing to report today apart from that I just feel like AF is on it's way which is disappointing after such promising "symptoms" a few days ago.

Does anyone know if I will still be able to have my ultrasound done if AF has arrived?

Jane - glad to still see you around, even if only every now and then. Can't wait to see your ring!

Satya - when is your u/s scheduled for? They usually do an internal, so prob not best to get one done during AF. Sorry about the BFN, but you never know, sometimes these things surprise us.

Tonners - WTG on the faint BFP. I hope it turns into a nice dark one in a couple of days. I am pretty bad at waiting to test, esp when I have been having pg symptoms, and I think why wait? I am going to try and be strong next time (remind me of that in a couple of weeks when I am feeling weak!)

SP - it does feel weird to be writing about how small the chances are of getting pg, but in a good way! At least it's not long now til your appointment and hopefully your OB will sort out this clot. I am lucky in that I think my boss would be pretty good if I told him what has been happening - he was great when I took time off for the first m/c, but he doesn't know about the second as he was on leave and I just worked through it. I will tell him as soon as I feel it is getting a bit much and the time off is too obvious. I also worry that he and other colleagues must have noticed that I am different lately and often my door is shut and my eyes puffy. Who knows - they are nearly all men, so probably haven't noticed anyway! I'm glad that the counselling is still helping you - I am finding it so very helpful.

Claudia - I am glad your 6 wk checkup went well and you are clear to TTC. I would definitely recommend counselling, it is good to be able to talk with someone about things, esp when a lot of people don't know what has happened. It is so hard with family and babies and no one understanding. I'm not sure if it is better to tell family or not - if you don't tell them, they don't understand, but in my experience, if you tell them they still don't understand and in a way you feel even worse! I guess the only good thing about telling them is that it stops the 'so when are you going to start a family' questions.

Hi to everyone else.

Well, the clinic told me to get my next BT done tomorrow, but going by previous cycles, I think I am going to O today or tomorrow, so getting a BT tomorrow would be too late, as the idea is to get me in for a scan BEFORE I O, and it takes a day to get the results back, and then they schedule a scan for the following day, so that def would be too late. Now I am worried that maybe I am wrong and they will tell me off for not going when they said. Oh well, it's done now, and so far I have been right about everything and they just haven't listened to me. Only two days til my appointment when I will be asking what his plan is now and whether he will actually do anything, as clearly there is something going on. I am still flitting between feeling v positive and thinking that it may just take time and I can wait, and then two secs later I am about to start crying thinking that it will never work out. On the whole I am not too bad atm, but I would be lying if I said that I am feeling great.

Hi Bun, sorry you are so up and down again. Hopefully at your appointment there will be some sort of plan put in place so you know where you are headed.

Thanks for the info re the ultrasound. It's booked for Thursday lunchtime so even though I feel I'm getting AF it probably won't have arrived by then. I normally spot a few days before and there's been no sign of that yet, it's just more of a feeling that I will get it, that's all.

I'm absolutely hopeless, on the one hand I'm concerned that my AF will arrive b4 the u/s and then I'll have to reschedule it, on the other I'm concerned about what if I am pg - maybe it's a bad idea to have an internal ultrasound. Paranoid hey?

I'm with you on the open plan office thing. I burst into tears in the middle of our open plan office last week and then had to deal with the fallout of that. It was really difficult as everyone wanted to know what was wrong & only one person in my team actually knew, I had to make up excuses. Thanks for the advice about the u/s, that puts my mind at rest somewhat.

Well still no sign of AF & I'm day 26 past the m/c. For some reason today I decided to use my maybe baby to see how things looked & I've found something like I have never seen before in there. I think I'll post elsewhere to see if anyone knows what it is. Don't know if anyone in here has used this device but it's showing long lines with light ferning plus separate things I can only describe as stars and they are quite large.

The way I see it this can mean one of two things. I didn't O weeks ago like I thought and am heading towards that now or I am pg & that's why the view looks so weird. I have no idea what the stars are as I've never seen them in all the years I've used it.
