Obesity link to the size of modern crockery!
I've been meaning to post about an interesting article I read in the newspaper about a link between the size of modern crockery bowls and obesity. Apparently people are eating from larger bowls these days compared to say, when our nanna's served up meals. This makes sense to me. My Sis and BIL have huge bowls that they eat cereal etc from and consequently have huge servings. We, on the other hand have inherited our grandparent's willow set which is much smaller. As a family we do eat a lot less and are lighter. What do people think? Do you always fill your bowl and what size is it? I think this especially influences how much children eat... if you have a massive bowl and only put 1 scoop of ice cream in it they will protest saying "is that all???" but I serve icecream on little saucers and they are happy... all mind games i know... but this article seems to back up something I have suspected for years...
