Hi Danielle
Just noticed your thread. I also live in Cromer, near Maas street. Whereabouts are you? Have you been here long? I am a 30 year old SAHM of 2 boys (aged 3.5 and 13 months). Am thinking about going for number 3 but still deciding. Would love a little girl! We have been in this area for about 5 years.
Anyway, it would be nice to meet another mum in the area.
Kate
Hi Kate, I'm sorry I've only just checked for replies after quite some time (stopped checking so often when it seemed I was the only one hehe)
I'm on Little Willandra Rd in Cromer. We bought this house in August 2005 & before that we were renting all around the Northern Beaches, so I've been a local since I was 7 (I'm now 26)
I have one daughter aged 2 (just turned 2... 25 months old) & we are currently trying to concieve again... I'd love a son but will be just as stoked for another beautiful healthy daughter (of course)
I'd love to catch up some time, do you have msn? If you do you can send me a message if you like ( theres a link under my name)
Thanks for replying :) Hopefully chat soon,
~Danielle

Hi All-
I ama lso on Northern Beaches. We live in Balgowlah and I have been searcing for Northern Beaches mums for ages.
The short story - am pregnant with my first, a baby girl due Oct 22 (can't wait) - booked in at Manly Hospital (anyone have any experiences?) and attend Prenatal yoga at Qi Harbord/Manly.
I suck at computer messaging and stuff - so if someone could teach me (i do have a hotmail address as well) - but oherwise am always at work and can be contacted on that address anytime.
I'd love to get involved in any meet-ups etc - let me know.
Hi Baby Pike, firstly congrats on your pregnancy!!
I had my DD at Manly Hospital & I loved it!! The staff were very kind (except for one) there was no rush for me to leave & it doesn't seem to get too busy there so I got my own room even though I was a public patient (my friend had her own room too only 2 weeks before me)
To give you an idea of how the staff treat you (or the way they treated me 2 years ago) is this story...
I suffered from hyperemisis (severe morning sickness) so I was put in hospital twice throughout my pregnancy to be rehydrated etc. I stayed over night both times & the staff told me that I can come back anytime.... & I quote, "even if you just need some rest" This amazed me, I'd never heard of such a thing being offered but they were great.
When the time came to giving birth the midwife who had been with me from pretty much the start stayed an extra hour & half after her shift had finished so she could be there with me til DD was safely delivered so that I "didnt have to get a stranger" she was so kind!
The only downside was the fact that they didnt seem to "push" you to breast feed, they seemed to let you give up very quickly... but thats up to you if you want to breastfeed or not....
We're hoping to meet up maybe tomorrow at Narrabeen if you'd like to join us. Let me know via email if you like :)
Hope to meet you soon,
Danielle
Hey girls, if its more convenient we can always meet at my house... its baby / child friendly :) Let me know
Hi everyone
We are in the Frenchs Forest area - I have 2 boys aged 8 and 3. If you are interested, I help to run a casual playgroup during school term time at Kinma Preschool on Mondays from 9.30am - 11.30am. Its a drop by any time kinda playgroup and only $3 a family to cover expenses. No term fees. Complete use of a wonderful preschool with loads of grassy outdoor play area and in a lovely bushland setting. Would love to catch up with some Belly Belly people there. It starts next Monday.
Cheers, Jenny
Oh - its 127 Coolowie Rd Terrey Hills in Kinma Preschool - you can look it up
Hi all. I only joined BB last week or so, and just found this thread.
