Hi,
We are TTC and on Clomid. I was given a name by a friend that has used this lady that has featured on Today Tonight and the news for getting women over 40 pregnant that are on IVF.
We saw her today and after paying alot of money have come home with teas and tablets to make me ovulate again.
I was just wondering if anyone else has used her and what results???

there was a thread discussing her recently. I've just had a look around and found it here. I notice that two people who swore by her (Gretl and Mother at last) have only ever posted in that thread, too. But I do know Lisa was very happy with her.
LisaL and Loula both see Antonia. Lisa in particular raves about her. Hopefully she'll post soon.

I hope you had success with Antonia. She worked for me and for one of my dear friends, and I know alot of other people who have had success with her after being told they would never have kids etc etc...
But obviously there are some people who havent had any success, a girl I know went there, and claimed that after 6 months of treatment, she wasnt pg, and stopped going. But it turns out that she only took the herbal concotion but never actually went in to have sessions with Antonia, there is a lot of other things at play with her treatment over and above taking the herbs alone and it doesnt happen overnight. I also know someone else who went there and was doing ivf too (she works with women doing IVF also) but unfortunaltey there was no success for her which makes me sad, but I guess you never know if you dont try.
For me, she was great, after having an ectopic pg, loss of a fallopian tube, and then a natural m/c, I fell pg with DD after 4 cycles with her (after my obgyn and gp kept telling me IVF was my only option and I should stop wasting my time ttc naturally). And I even ovulated from the right side, where there is no tube (my sonographer confirmed this). I remain close with her and still use her for other health and life issues.

I hope you do not go to Antonia ever. She has been investigated by chinese medical board. I also remember seeing her on the news and felt sick. Please ring them before you book into her. They might help you with unbiased advise. My boss went to her a few years ago and was so angry at the tablets and herbs she gave her. She then went to see an acupuncturist and naturopath because she felt something was not right with Antonia (too weird), and found out the fertility tablets were relabelled and charged at $200 more than the price the acupuncturist and naturopath was selling them (and apparently they were sold by a company in Sydney). Her naturopath (also a nurse) said that many women have been scammed by her. How revolting to play on vulnerable people. Antonia told my boss they were special medicines from amazon. Crap! There are much better people around (Ruth Sharkey or Francesca Naish) without her horrible reputation. I dont even think she is a real herbal health practitioner. How is she allowed to sell any herbs anyway? Francesca is in Sydney but has great books and Ruth is retired but apparently she is coming to melbourne in august to talk about her fertility methods. My partner and I am going to see her. She sounds genuine and she did not need to go to the amazon to pretend that she could help people.
Secretmission - sweety, I noticed that you have been ttc since Feb O8 - is there any reason you are seeking assistance? It can take a healthy couple with no known fertility issues up to 12 months to concieve and unless you have any 'known' fertility issues, then you dont need to go and see anybody. Just make sure you are keeping up with your folate, you stay healthy and active, and most importantly, have fun with it. Dont worry too much about cycle days, etc etc. Have lots of sex, have fun and stay positive. I wouldnt worry about seeking help unless you have been ttc for over 12 months.
As for Antonia, it really is your choice, im sure by now you have read the good, the bad and the ugly, so its up to you to make your own decision. You can always go for first consult and make your decision after you have met her.
Babyhelp - I appreciate that you have heard some bad things about Antonia. On the issue of the chinese medical board, she was only registered with them as she was practicing accupuncture, and the reason they investigated her was because she had featured client testimonials on her website. She removed them as soon as the board advised her that she was not permitted to have them. They had no right to investigate her other practices. And if you saw the news report, you would have seen that it was actually sympathetic to her and her work, as with the follow up article in the herald sun. As for the herbs, the tablets are often things you can buy here and are not from the amazon, what is from the amazon though, is some of the herbs used to make the herbal tonic which she uses in her treatment. Furthermore, the woman at the CMB pursuing the investigation is a former disgruntled employee of Antonia's.. need I say more.....
Antonia is not weird, she is a very spiritual woman who is gifted. People who are not open to the metaphysical can often be a bit taken back by her, but she is a healer, one that has spent much of her formative years living in the amazon, she is not a scammer. She did not 'go to the amazon' for the herbs. She was born in Brasil and spent much of her years learning and living in the amazon. She goes back to the amazon every year.
I agree that some people going to her have not had success, but there are thousands of women who are mothers because of her treatment, and these women are not just from Oz, they are from all over the world. Just because her treatment doesnt have a 100% success rate doesnt mean that she is fraud, she is a wonderful and warm, caring woman who goes over and above the call of duty for most of her clients.
IVF or other alternative therapies do not offer gaurantees and do not have 100% success rates either, and they are often more expensive. I know someone who went to another clinic for accupuncture and fertility treatment, she took the herbs and did everything else they told her, but 2 years later, still no baby. IVF - women do it for years in the hope it will help them to concieve, so what of those poor women that do not fall pg after years of treatment, are they being scammed too? So I think its really a case of the shoe that fits.
Im sorry if I have offended you, but I dont think your limited knowledge or second hand experience of Antonia qaulifies a harsh judgement of her.

I agree that Antonias tonic is pretty good and her hands on treatment is also good. Hubby and I are currently seeing her. As for the chinese herbal tablets, my advice is to get them elsewhere. I see an acupuncturist who is a Doctor of Chinese medicine and she gets her capsules from exactly the same company and Antonia in exactly the same bottles as Antonia. the only difference in them is that the company puts her name on the labels not antonias. I pay $40 for my tablets versus $240 for exactly the same formula from Antonia. that is a huge difference in price.
The tonic though is great as is her hands on work so I guess I sit on the fence somewhere in themiddle on this debate.

I got pregnant after four months on Antonia Ruhl's program, after having seen both Francesca Naish and another well known naturopath as well as Chinese herbalists and acupuncturists over a four year period. I spent a lot more money with the other practitioners and didn't get any real results. I guess everyone's journey is different. For us Antonia Ruhl was truly a gift from God and we will be eternally grateful. Until you meet Antonia Ruhl in person it is hard to really appreciate how special she is. She is the real deal. She is a Shaman. When she touches you your whole body vibrates. You run your fingers on her arms and you can feel the electricity running through her. I was lucky enough for her to show me how she energized my foetal support herbal tea. I guesss that is the difference when you purchase herbs from Antonia Ruhl rather than another practitioner. Even if the herbs are the same, her energization makes a huge difference, I believe, at least that was our experience.
If you want to see a Naturopath there are plenty out there. If you want to see a true healer and shaman then I recommend Antonia Ruhl to anyone without hesitation. I have difficulty believing that anyone could be disappointed by Antonia's truly loving and incredibly giving nature. In our experience she has always gone the extra mile and nothing was too much bother. She is happy for me to call her at anytime of day or night and even on weekends. She is incredibly supportive and patient. I have recommended Antonia Ruhl to three of my friends and two of them are already pregnant and very thankful for my advice.

Hi ladies,
I thought I'd let you all know that I went to see Antonia today.
I was told that I have pubis inflammation and some of my bones appear to be out of alignment hence causing me not to ovulate and hence not fall pregnant.
I guess I am happy with everything except I spent $710 buying the herbs (+$220 initial consult) and at the moment it's a big financial burden because I just quit my job ... I just hope it will work out.
I will let everyone know how I go!
I fell pregnant whilst seeing Antonia, after just 3 months.
I have an unused bottle of the male herbs and a bottle of the female herbs (90% unused) which I would really like somebody to be able to use. They are expensive and it's a shame to throw them away.
I am happy to give them away.
