    Red face Amazing Antonia Ruhl

After 5 IVF Stims, 1 x FET, 3 Artificial Inseminations, my husband and I turned to Antonia Ruhl - she is a Brazillian lady who specialises in helping infertile couples fall pregnant. She recommends herbal tonics and supplements, but her most amazing "skill" is the energetic work that she does. She lays her hands on you and literally "charges" you with electricity. Its not a subjective thing, you, or anyone who touches you, can feel the electrical buzz. She is an amazingly warm and generous lady, and she has done wonders for both my husband and myself. She has helped many men and women become pregnant, and it's not just hype. Waiting in her waiting room, most times you'll start chatting to a client who has an amazing success story to tell. Antonia Ruhl is in Melbourne, but I think, she works with interstate and overseas clients. I have been to several naturopaths who were excellent ( The Jocelyn Centre, Dr. Steven Clavey, Sandra Villela at Ruth Trickey, Monica Cocchiara ), but Antonia Ruhl seems to be obtaining the best results for us so far. I find her consultation charges very reasonable and her herbal supplements are on a par with what I've paid at the aforementioned practioners. Has anyone else been seeing Antonia? There was a great place called The Lounge who had a forum of people who had been helped by Antonia. The Lounge kept it's magazine but closed it's online forum. Anyway, there were, surprisingly, a few men on the forum that told of their success with Antonia - it was also good to read that they were totally sceptical of her work, but persisted to keep their wives/partners happy. I had to laugh. Because my husband is as cynical as they come, and remains so, yet he, to my amazement, continues treatment with Antonia. I'd love to hear from anyone else who has received treatment from this amazing lady.

Hello Gretl and welcome to BB - I see you've just joined.
Has Maria Nixarian had her baby yet? Just wondering what Antonia's actual take home baby rate is. I'm guessing the treatment would need to stop if IVF was being undertaken and wonder how the body reacts when her treatment stops.
You certainly sound happy with her though - you're not her secretary are you?

Hey Suzi Maria Nixarian was on Channel 7 news a few weeks ago, perhaps a month ago. Her baby was very cute, she had a boy but I can't remember his name, he was a few months old by memory too.

    Gretl,

Hi. One of my best friends got pregnant within 4 months of starting Antonia's herbs and treatments. She now has a healthy baby boy who is 6 months old. She had been trying for over 2 years and was told IVF is her only option - well how wrong were the dr's?? Ive heard nothing but good stories. My friend's hubby also speaks very highly of her and she was invited to their little one's christening and they still maintain regular contact.

Best of luck, hope the Brasil baby magic catches you quickly!!

This is what I found on the Today Tonight website.
    "*****STOP PRESS**** UPDATE 091205****
Today's Daily Telegraph reports Stephen and Mary Nixarian have confirmed their pregnancy is the result of continued IVF procedures and NOT a result of natural therapies or herbal supplements.

No! I'm not her secretary! Would love to be though! I love going to her place - there's a good vibe. Yeah I saw what marina nixon was alleged to have said. I asked Antonia about it, and I don't want to say anything that's going cause defammation suits etc etc., but i will say this, the name Marina chose for her baby boy's second name is ... Antonio. After Antonia.
Look, we're all in this boat - i know what it's like to try and have a baby when nothing else works - if someone told that to get pregnant I'd have to shave my head and run down Bourke Street naked, i'd probably do it. I guess there's not a lot i wouldn't do to optimise my chances of fertility. I just am sharing my experiences, coz that's how i have stumbled upon many of the things that i have found helpful. I hope we all are blessed with children, and if not, i hope we learn to live graciously with it. Believe me, i don't say that lightly, because most of the time, i feel anything but gracious about the whole journey! Good luck and blessings to every one of us.

PMSL at walking down bourke street naked with a shaved head! Well ive been to Antonia's office and guess who's photo's are all over the place? marina and her little bub. While the news reports etc claim it had nothing to do with Antonia and it was all ivf, I can honestly say that i doubt that very much, I think it was a case of a combined ivf and herbal method that got Marina pg - especially at her age.

But i suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

How are you going with ttc?

Hi, about 12 years ago, I was diagnosed with a medical condition called Graves Disease which is a thyroid condition. Mine was a severe case, in fact one of the worst documented, eating through my large muscle groups of my heart and spine. the thyroid gland also controls your entire hormonal system so I was informed it would be extremely difficult for me to ever conceive.
As I was 28, children were not on the agenda and my partner and I lived a full and exciting life together. During the next 11 years I was constantly under specialist and doctors care and battled with conventional medicine and natural alternatives to control the disease. I was always in and out of remission, never on top of it completely.
At the age of 38 we decided to try and conceive and after one year without uccess went straight to Monash IVF program Richmond. We awere faced with another problem that a vasectomy reversal my husband had 12 years ago was not successful and he was not producing live sperm. No big deal as live sperm can always be extracted frm the testes.

IVF seemed straight forward as I was still producing (ovulating) large quantities of good quality eggs. I had one strimulated cycle and two frozen. The one problem was once implanted I could not hold them, something we put down to my thyroid condition. Just before the third cycle a work colleague gave me an article that appeared in The Sun weekend edition on Dr Antonia Ruhl at Natural Stress Therapy. I called straight away on the Monday only to be informed there was a five month waiting list. Then fate stepped in and the receptionist put me on hold to answer another call, which turned out to be a cancellation for that Friday. Of course I took that appointment.

that Friday I had an extremely stressful day at work, we sat with Antonia informing her of our situation, whilst I sobbed. She did not offer a lot of sympathy and proceeded to inform us that I would fall pregnant and I had two auras surrounding me. She Also informed me that I would conceive twins due to those two auras. We took Antonia's program, of herbs and saw her weekly for her energy treatment. At the start I did not respond to treatment and I never buzzed with energy like my husband did. In fact Antonia was quite direct again and stated that the condition my body was presently in I would most likely never hold an implanted embryo no matter how many attempts.

My body was so unbalanced and not a healthy environment to grow and nurture. After two months on the program with treatment and religiously taking the herbs I actually started to feel my body tingle and buzz when I went to her. My thyroid levels became perfectly balanced and I felt great. I had a frozen cycle in December and two embryos implanted. I was actually angry at myself for doing this cycle, as it was my busiest and most stressful time at work, which meant long hours, tiredness, not eating properly, and all the stress that Xmas brings.. I felt as if I had wasted two embryos and it was unlikely to work.

Due to Xmas I miscalculated my dates and felt like I had all the symptoms of my approaching menstrual cycle. I put the notion of it working completely out of my head. Two days before New Years Eve I had my regular appointment with Antonia and as soon as I walked through the door she looked at me and excitedly greeted me with a big hug and kiss of congratulations. She informed me that I was pregnant and not only that twins!!! I simply refused to believe her. A pregnancy test confirmed this and two weeks later my Obstetrician confirmed we wre having twins.

I am currnetly 36 weeks, fit, healthy and the twins doing perfectly. My doctor is so impressed with how well I am as most twins are born prematurely, I only stopped full time work last week, have so much energy, and are exercising every day. I have been constantly under her care and my husband thinks she is the most amazing woman. She also informed us right from the start that we were having a little boy and girl and correct she is.

Apart from making us the happiest couple I also have Antonia to thank for making me a better person in the process. She has managed to calm, de stress me and make my outlook on life more positive and myself a much happier and evenly blaanced person. One of her little phrases is "the past never equals the future". Antonia is also very supportive of IVF and in fact in my first consultation stated we needed to do both.

Many people due to a lack of education and ignorance are very anti IVF. I have overheard Antonia urging clients to seek assistance in that specialized field as well. She just prepares the healthy soil for the healthy tree to bear healthy fruit. I do not think the expense is any more than consulting a Naturopath Chinese medicine, or alternate treatments.

Antonia is so generous with her time and expertise, working extremely long hours going out of her way to accommodate clients out of normal working hours. I am so grateful and appreciative that she will attend during the birth of our twins. Antonia keeps me happy, healthy, balanced, positive, and bouncing with energy. We appreciate all that she has done for us and treasure her friendship.

Well after reading your stories on here about Antonia Ruhl, and doing some research myself, DH and I discussed contacting Antonia. 5 years of TTC and on the IVF merry-go-round for two years, we'll try anything.

We contacted her office today, and atcually got to speak to her. After ordering some "tonics" (yes, expensive), we are going to fly down to Melbourne in a few weeks time to see her. Because we live so far away, she wants us to have 2 to 3 sessions with her in the one day and also a hypnotherapy session as well. (thank god for tax refunds)

She says that she can help us, so who knows the IVF Dr's said they could help too, but nothing has happened yet!

At least I feel better knowing that we are actually doing something and not just sitting arounds waiting for the next IVF clinic (Nov)

Lisa, so did she actually tell you that you would fall pg?

I know sometimes I feel a bit weird actually going to all the trouble and expence of this little exercise, but I feel I have nothing to lose (only money). I will turn 39 in Nov, so I'm feeling that time is running out.

And I've never been into alternative remedies, so it will be interesting. We are just waiting for our tonics to arrive, hopefully today. I must say I am looking forward to it all.

Yes she told me it wouldnt be long (something in my aura?). And i agree that the only thing you have to loose is money. When you go to her office you will see pics of so many bubs she has helped bring into this world that you will feel more hope than you do know. One of my bf's saw her after two years of ttc and being told her only hope is ivf, well she found antonia and on the 4th cycle she concieved. So I guess I have more hope as I have seen someone get pg with her help.

I hope it works for you sweety, let us know how your sessions go. We can go through this journey together
