Hi Sally,
Congrats on your pg!
Here is a thread about when people first felt their bubs move...

*hugs*
I was about 14 weeks when I first felt a flutter.
As for the 12 week scan, you can see enough to know that it's a baby. You'll see a lot more at your 18-20 week scan.
SallyMarie - If you have a look at my website (link is in my signature), you'll see my ultrasound pics from both the 11 week & 18 week scan. Bubs is very active at 11 weeks - you'll be able to see a head, body, arms, legs, etc wiggling around (and a heart beating).
As for movement, I didn't feel anything until 21 weeks - but I was quite late. Most people feel movement between 16 and 22 weeks. Now bubs is giving me regular little kicks. There is a sticky about this: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...play.php?f=101
Whoops - I didn't notice that link was already there!
i didnt feel real moveemnts til about 22 weeks, i did feel flutters before this but it took a long time for 'proper' kicks. i have anterior placenta and this means I feel it later (as the kicks are cushioned) - also for a 1st time baby you feel it later...
